hi there… i thought about that too. but God wants us to go to heaven! He desires the salvation of each and everyone of us-so we should too!

We are to have the hope of heaven and express that with joy! That’s what the Good News is all about, our Redemption! Presumption that our salvation is complete before it is, is dangerous, especially when living outside of grace, but we are to live a full, joyful and hopeful life in Christ. And imagining heaven and what it will be for us and those we love cannot be sinful, the New Testament is too full of such encouragements.

I think most presume that we will make our detour to purgatory
first and then meet up in heaven. 👍

God has also given some of us the grace to make what is called the heroic act of charity for the poor souls. It involves giving up all indulgences; past, preset, and future, to Mary, whilst we endure our full time in Purgatory, paying to the last penny. 😦 We exchange time in Purgatory for merit in heaven, and for love of Mary and Jesus. I try to earn as many indulgences as I can, including the one plenary indulgence allowed every day. I have no idea how effective my help has been, one can only hope.
 
Me too!There are lots of people I look forwarde to meeting in Heaven.I cant wait to see Lord Jesus…

I’m sure it has been very effective-God hears everyones prayers.It was very good of you to make the heroic act-congratulations!What exactly is it, and how do you make it?

Reminds me of a story about a Priest and a Skeptic:

Priest:…When we die, the Lord will give us wings so we could fly up to His Heavenly Kingdom.
Skeptic: But Father, there’s a bit of a problem. How are we supposed to wear shirts in Heaven if we had wings? (laughs)
Priest: Well, do you prefer to go to Hell then? Going to Hell would be a greater problem; you could not wear pants once you grew a tail…😃

The same kind of offering is involved in St. Louis de Montfort’s total consecration to Mary. He says in True Devotion to Mary:

"Someone may perhaps say, ‘If I give to our Blessed Lady all the value of my actions to apply to whom she wills, I may have to suffer a long time in Purgatory.’

This objection, which comes from self-love and ignorance of the generousity of God and His holy Mother, refutes itself. A fervent and generous soul who gives God all he has, without reserve, so that he can do nothing more; who lives only for the glory and reign of Jesus Christ, through His holy Mother, and who makes an entire sacrifice of himself to bring it about–will this generous and liberal soul, I say, be more punished in the other world because it has been more liberal and more disinterested in others? Far indeed, will that be from the truth! Rather, it is toward that soul, as we shall see by what follows, that Our Lord and His holy Mother are the most liberal in this world and the other, in the orders of nature, grace and glory."

So maybe you generous ones should check out True Devotion to Mary. 😉
