The first recorded human response recorded in scripture was of ingratitude.
Instead of being thankful from all in creation that is made available to humankind, Adam and Eve craved the one thing forbidden to them. Grasping it, they lost much of all that they have received.
And we, also, are sometimes prone to that temptation.

Perhaps, concentrating on the positives in our lives, while aware of the difficulties we face and endure, we can share, even those small daily matters for which we can be thankful?

For me, just now, it was simply hearing an aircraft passing over our leafy suburb, where families live in peace.
How thankful I am that overhead crafts don’t inspire fear
as they do, for instance in the Ukraine and have done in other nations in our world in past decades.
Lord, thank You for the peace and safety of this nation and its people.

After a nightmare medical resumé, I am thankful for my very life. I have learned to be thankful for the suffering which has come my way. Our Lord used His suffering for eternal good. As members of His Mystical Body, we are most Christ-like when we suffer. Therefore, we too can use our suffering for eternal good.

@po18guy , thankful to God for your faith and the resilience it gives you in illness,
and for all who carry on despite pain, illness, and misfortune, as inspiration for others who also suffer.
Nevertheless, am thankful that physical pain isn’t a fact of my own life

Thankful for the efforts man who spent two years restoring Catholic Answers Forum from the scrapheap, an American, then ultimately a world-wide forum that had helped innumerable persons from its beginning in 2004
Himself, a quiet family man, who had mostly been a lurker, but recognizing the value of CAFs services, seeking nothing for himself, but wishing to extend this service for the sake of seekers and questioners, and those willing to serve, throughout the world.
