Poor Hurley - why would they put the fat guy in charge of the food? Love the show!

LOL:rotfl:

I wonder if anyone else thought a different actor/actress wasn’t quite right?

So far we have Claire, Sun, and Shannon… what about the men?

I wonder how long this series will last? In other words, how long are they going to keep us in suspense about what the heck is going on?

And, once we find out, will the show continue?

I didn’t think any of the actors were different. Sun looked different because her hair was pulled back, not in her face as usual. Claire looked different on the beach because of the camera angle - she looked taller and slender (but we’re also used to seeing her pregnant). But when she was next to Shannon she looked short again and that accent and voice, that was the same. Shannon looked the same to me.

Our family figures 3 seasons, 4 tops (and that woud be pushing it). We’d like a 3rd season and a movie, if possible. But I don’t see how this can continue for 5-7 seasons.

But the previews for the next episode look great!

Loved this episode too. Happy for Hurley. Relieved they didn’t ruin his character.

I agree, one more season and then a big reveal about what is really going on. Would love to see a “Lost” movie! I also think Sun looks different because I think she is even thinner than last year - if that is even possible - that lady is a rail!

Which is another reason why I don’t see how the series can go on and on…

Hurley is prime example…this season he’s thinner and has longer hair…yet we flashed back Wednesday to see him heavier with shorter hair.

the weight gain/loss can be handled via camera angle and lighting.
and the hair through extensions (notice his long hair was tightly curled, darker and shiny i.e., gelled - while the flashback scenes it was lighter in color and not as tight). The actor who plays him would have to continue to lose weight as long as the show is in production.

Sawyer, all the actors, really, have to maintain this hair length, color, skin tone, weight to be consistent with the story. Well the longer it goes on, I’d think everyone on the island would be thinner. John, really should be thinner than he is already, Sayid, as well (can’t wait to find out what’s behind John’s being able to walk!).

Since so many flashbacks are used to reveal the story, the challenge for the makeup artists and costume people gets more daunting the longer the show is produced. They constantly have to go back to season one to match clothing (down to if a button was missing on a shirt or jacket and the collar was up or down) and stubble growth, highlights in the hair/where/how, etc.

Unless they filmed all the flashback scenes during season one (meaning they have the backstories in the can already) and they’re cutting in bits and pieces around the current storyline.

But I was under the impression the writers don’t have all that worked out yet so that means they’re filming back story in the current season. Again, that’s a real big challenge.

Have you guys checked out www.oceanic815.com yet? the numbers are already plugged in, so go to look for tickets. if you click the numbers of the rows (the cursed numbers) you get linked to a new site with other stuff.

Wow - what can I say?

No body is talking about it, but it almost feels like to me - what do we talk about?

I don’t know that there were any questions answered except maybe that the reason there aren’t 23 survivors isn’t because they’re eating one another (which was my first initial thought when they met up) but because of the “others”. The only new question off the top of my head is the teddy bear. What’s up with that?

So just some thoughts.

After the last episode my wife doesn’t think there are ‘doubles’ on the island.

The best part I think was Hurley and Sun watching Vincent the dog. When Hurley said his dog pooped $1.35 and the look on his face, then Sun’s, then his - we had to pause the tape we were laughing so hard.

So 3 weeks to wait. And who is it that’s going to die? Place your bets!

The previews kind of hint at Sawyer. But I can’t imagine it being him. Shannon, Claire, or Sun possibly because I’d put them in the ‘supporting roles’ and not the stars. But if we suppose to be ‘talking about it for the rest of the year’ or whatever the preview said, it’d seem like it’d have to be a big dog.

Don’t know.

Anyone else?

My money’s on Libby (random extra just brought on) – she was the one who michael ran away from…but they showed her in the “who will die” spot…

It was a wonderful episode. My only gripe is the ring was too obvious. Did anyone really think it was anywhere else but where she was digging frantically in the dark to bury the bottle?

Even so, I loved how the losing of the ring led to the story of their meeting…soooo sweet!! And her acting was very, very good.

My husband and son commented that it was amazing how we can almost understand Jin’s Korean without understanding the language - his acting is so good, we can almost put ourselves in the shoes of Michael and Sawyer to find it believable that they do understand what he’s saying.

That was a great scene, but I also enjoyed how Sawyer gets to that lead chick.

Of course another question arises - why is Echo so willing to trust and help the guys when everyone else in that group is so hardened?

You know what frustrated me? I was trying to count the number of “others” who passed before Echo and Jin but because the camera angles changed I couldn’t be certain each pair of legs was a different one, and then some of them did look like repeats so I was really confused at the end. I think I counted 3 in pants, 4 in shorts of which 2 had really dirty calves.

And I thought the teddy bear was Walts??? don’t know why because I don’t recall ever seeing it in the first season. But he way Jin looked at it was almost ‘recognition’…

I’m playing it safe and calling ‘female’.
Which female, I’d have no clue!!

What do you mean?

I agree, Jin is a great actor.

I’m up in there air about the teddy bear beign Walt’s. We were talking about that at work. I think the one that Michael gave him when he was a boy was a polar bear. The one we saw seemed like a regular teddy bear and bigger or something. I guess we’ll find out one of these days!!

Interesting observation on Echo. I wonder if we’ll get his or the tough woman’s “background”.
