They don’t? I knew Catholics were no fun…

To be fair, I don’t suppose the writers do either. Actually, last Wednesday’s episode (28 March) immediately struck me as an homage to old EC horror/suspense comics such as “Tales from the Crypt,” “Crime SuspenStories,” or “The Haunt of Fear”–I wouldn’t be surprised to learn the plot was -]lifted from/-] inspired by an old issue. The story is classic EC: greedy nogoodniks commit murder most foul, surprising reversal of fortune; dishonour among thieves; protagonists come to a gruesome end both ironic and apt (though “condign” is usually too strong a word for the toe-curling fates assigned to the characters).

Here’s hoping Lost regains its creative footing, and viva el Cryptkeeper!
I agree, and if it was a “Cryptkeeper” type show, then I would not have been surprised.

Yes, with no real impact on the show as we can easily see.
I disagree, but that’s just my opinion.
I love the show, I will never stop watching it. and no one will ever convince me that it’s going down the tube.

You might be the last one watching in the not to distant future. It is dropping like a rock. 6,000,000+ people “lost” in less then half a year…that is free fall rates.

BTW, as I said before, I plan to see this season through and if it does not improve, I will not return to it in the fall. I suspect the show will take another huge hit in viewership in the fall. Most people do not want to watch a modern (albeit grossly violent) Gilligans Island. Lost started as one thing, and has now become something completely different and they have dropped so many plot points, that it is hard to keep up.

I also never thought anyone could change your mind, you like the show, I know that and it makes no difference to me if you watch it…I was just stating the facts that the show has lost its way and is losing huge numbers of viewers. Six-million viewers is an entire viewership base for other shows, and LOst dropped that in a few months.

I’m also stating the facts that the show has gotten better. And a lot more people than you think will agree with me.

Your are correct, 60% of the show’s original audience still watches the show, including me btw. My point is that the show is dropping like a rock because it is NOT any good and it will continue to plumet.

hopefully tonight will be a good episode. I must admit though at it almost is becoming more like a chore to watch the show kind of like when you start a bad movie but keep on watching just because to get to the ending. I no longer look forward to it. I’m more into shows like 24 and Prison Break and even American Idol has overcome Lost now in my list of favorite shows now.

Not the best episode, but not the worst either. Notice that anyone Sayid says is a liar or is hiding something…always is. He doesn’t like Juliet. I think she’s setting them up.

Tonight’s show was OK. The flashback sequence was interesting.

I’m hooked, although less excited than I used to be. I’ll still watch every episode just to find out what’s going on.

alright, based on the previous two comments I’m hoping the show is worth watching in a half hour.

Good episode. I’m not 100% sure about Juliet. She seems like she might be on their side, but at the same times she knows a lot more than she’s letting on to.
The flash backs were interesting. Very neat that Kate and Sawer have a little more in common.
I also like the story line with Sawer. I hope he doesn’t turn into too much of a nice guy. He’s kind of funny the way he is.

well Jack is coming back next week so there will be no need for it. Now perhaps Sawyer might want to challenge Jack for the leadership role. Then there might really actually be some sort of vote.

Just more of the same, week after week, more questions that go un-answered, more plot lines that lead nowhere…oh well…

Anyone notice Kate’s reference to Saint Lucy? In the past she referred to herself as Monica and Maggie. All three are saints. Kate a Catholic?!? 👍

Geez Tom, stop watching already!

I’m MORE than ok that there are no answers! It’s too bad the producers have listened to all the whiners out there who want the answer RIGHT NOW. If you want the answers right now, go to the library grab a murder myster book and read the last two chapters - Don’t watch LOST.

If they gave you all the answers, it’d be OVER.

Enjoy the ride!

She mentioned to Cassidy? that she went to Catholic grade school and recited saints names or something like that.

I loved the episode (maybe because I’m enjoying the mystery and the questions).

Sweet, we know that there are connections between the Losties and we found out one more a connection between Sawyer and Kate through Cassidy.

How awesome was Hurley with his con on Sawyer. My wife and I split a gut laughing about that. That was classic!

And Sawyer ‘smoozing’ Claire with the “your baby looks less wrinkly” - HILARIOUS!

At first we were trying to figure out why they would have left Juliette behind. Then at the fence I totally missed the whole “you had a key” thingy. So then the questions start rolling out. Afterward we realized that she knew exactly where Jack & Sayid where. Did Juliette actually drag Kate out into the jungle so she would not be ‘left behind’? Did the others help and Juliette’s a plant? Parts of Juliette seem so genuine and other parts are so cold-blooded.

That’s what I love about Lost. Nothing appears as it seems. On the outside you see something, but then you gotta question it cuz Ben’s some wacko-mind-messing-genius.

And the others know about Smokey! That’s where I’d start my questioning.

I never said I wanted all of the answers, but I do want at least some answers…they only create more questions and the huge drop in viewerships proves I am not the only one who feels that way.

Swwwweeeeeeetttttttt.

Ben is the consumate evil genius. And whoever cast the actor who plays Ben should get an award.
        • SPOILER ALERT * * * *
Interesting twists - Ben has cancer yet he could cure Juliette’s sister. The women can’t have babies on the island yet it seems to be a mystical healing paradise (yet Ben has cancer).

And I was SHOCKED with the last minute where you find out Juliette is a plant. Not that she was a plant but that we found out so soon. Maybe a bone for the people who don’t like to be left guessing anymore?

But even that opened up some interesting questions in regards to Claire. Was she rescued by Alex or allowed to escape w/ some implant or whatever?

And now that I think of it, didn’t Ben say he was BORN on the island? How did that happen if women can’t have children there? Maybe he wasn’t conceived their and that’s the defining moment.

And Juliette just chuggin the o.j.! And why is the trip a doozy?

Interesting about that communication facility and contact w/ the outside world.

And whatever happened to Desmond’s girlfriend at the end of season 2 now that I think of it?

And didn’t the previews for next week say something about the beginning of the end?

So many thoughts today. Sorry about the ramble.

Oh, how I understand your excitement!!!

After last night’s episode, I’m so pumped for the rest of the season. In my optimistic point of view, I think Juliet will eventually work with Jack (especially if she gets scrwd over by Ben yet again).

I agree about who ever hired the Ben character. They definitely deserve 👍 👍 He is so innocent and trusting but manipulative and coniving.

I wonder if this show is about redemption sometimes. Almost every lostie has a sketchy past, but many are beginning to redeem themselves (almost as if they truly are born again).

I can’t wait until next week.
