One of the mysteries I’m anxious to learn about is who John Locke’s really is? Is he an outsider, who discovered the true meaning of why they’re there, and will become the messiah for the survivors and even the others? He seems to be the good against the evil, who is Ben.

When he told Ben, “if you know the island as I do,” how is it you’re in a wheel chair and I’m not?"

From the ads, Locke comes back, but Sawyer tries to kill him.

This has definitely been a great season so far. Too bad they lost many viewers playing their games the last couple seasons. Rumor has it, next season will be the last.

questions, questions and more questions, with no answers…

same-old-same-old…Lost

The have "lost’ viewers because they never really explain anything…

I think there are WAY too many people on that island.

I only watch it because my husband appreciates me taking an interest in shows he likes. I’d rather read a book! —KCT

The last couple weeks have been great shows!

👍 👍

Last night John Locke was awesome. He got right down to business. No more of Ben’s annoying mindgames.

The ending was a shocker!

THIS SHOW IS AWESOME!!!

😃

My guess is that John Locke survives the gun shot wound and makes it back to camp before the others invade.

I hope! John Locke is my favorite character on the program.

The last two or three episodes have been great!!
  • The whole Jacob thing was very creepy. Did you hear how that voice sounded?!?!
  • Since John got shot on the lower side part of his stomach, I am guessing that he will probably survive. But who will help him? Rousseau maybe? Jacob?
  • Seems like Jack trusts Juliet more than his own people…hmm.

As my four yr old says, “HOLY MACAROLI!”

Wow was that unbelievable or what?!?!

Interestingly this is the 2nd time we’ve had a flashback episode of an “other”.

I know! Certain episodes Locke goes back to his wishy-washy can’t take control - like his life off the island. Then like last night, there’s the I AM IN CONTROL Locke that just rocks! Talk about forcing Ben’s hand!

When he first got shot, oh my word! I thought of in the past when the previews would be “someone dies” or “someone is lost forever” and there was none of that! Total shocker! But you’re right, I can see him coming back in at the season finale at just the last moment…
Who or what is this Jacob character? I can’t even speculate!

That was pretty freaky! It reminded me a little of “The Channeling” (or what little I remember of the movie way back when) - with the chair rocking back and forth. CRAZY!?!? Is it someone related to smokey?

When they first got there I thought for sure Ben was a cracker. I mean he’s the ultimate evil genius and it would just be fitting that he’s not all there. And I think they meant to leave you guessing a little bit, except when it appeared like Jacob threw Ben off of him. And why would Ben want to know what Jacob said if he said it?

UNLESS… unless Ben IS the evil genius pen ultimate and knows where he shot Locke isn’t life threatening and he’s going to manipulate someone into going and saving him (then Locke thinks Jacob is real and lends credibility).

Either way I wonder what Ben is going to tell his people now.

And what did Jacob mean when he said “help me”?

And the whole gassing of the Dharma initiative. WHOA!

When they spoke of the natives I assumed they were the original inhabitants. But where would they get firepower and chemical weapons?

And the guy who ‘groomed’ the young Ben is Richard? Or his dad? What’s up with that?!?!

AWESOME show!

Question, more question, then more questions, and after that: more questions.

Never any answers.

I actually did have some questions answered last night, some that were bugging me.
I remember in season 1 how Eithan seemed to have ‘super human strength’, and thinking that the others must all be like that. Then comes Ben and he just seems a bit whimpy. So I was a little confused by the difference. Not after seeing last nights episode. We find out that there were two groups of ‘others’, original island inhabitants, and the dharma people. The original people seem to have some weird conection with the island.
You can’t watch this show half heartedly, you’ll miss sooooo much.
I honestly don’t think that Locke is the main charactor their killing off. I mean, he didn’t actually die last night. My bet is on either Jack or Kate. I also have a bad feeling about Charlie.
I heard an interesting rumor about Kate though. I read that she might be killed by Jack in the finale. Someone was saying she might get shot by Jack in a friendly fire kind of way.
This show just keeps gettting better and better. Can’t wait till next week.

Actually they came out and said their are three more seasons, so what you heard must have been a rumor.

Folks on YouTube claim that one of the scenes, you can see
Jacob’s eye. My son downloaded the scene and emailed it to me. He thinks it looks like Bens eye. I couldn’t tell it was too dark.

Jim

They announced this week, 48 more episodes with the finale in 2010.

I wish they’d move it back to 9PM EST.

Jim
If the show’s viewership drops again next year like it did this year, the show will end much sooner then 2010. Some people do not mind the “no answers” routine, most do.

According to the producers and writers, not having an end date made it more difficult to put answers into the script. They didn’t know how long they had to keep things going.

They are happy that they have an end date and they said it will allow them to bring the entire story to a conclusion, maybe. 🙂

Also, the next season won’t start until January 2008.

Wow, January? That makes matters even worse for the show. They lost a ton of viewers when they took over four months off this year. I predict it will die after next year.

If you don’t like the show thats fine, but why must you feel the need to ruin it for everyone here that does like it? It’s so negative.
Prehaps you should start a thread that talks about the supposed death of Lost.
I for one know many people who love the suspence and are disapointed that the show is only going on for two more seasons.
I’m sure the person who started this thread enjoys the show and wanted to talk about the actual show with others. I’m sure they don’t appreciate the constant negativity you spread about it.

The thread is about Lost, I am still watching Lost until the end of this year, I am simply posting my opinions. Just as you are.

THANK YOU!!

We’re here discussing LOST, Tom. EVERY week you say the SAME thing. We all know you don’t like it. We all know you’re probably not going to watch it next season (we can only hope). We all know the ratings dropped. We all know you don’t think questions are being answered. Fine. Why waste your energy saying the same thing over and over? It adds nothing to the discussion that the rest of us are trying to have here. Don’t be such a kill-joy!

This episode was so crazy that my wife and I are probably going to watch it again. The scene was so fast and jerky that it was hard to tell anything. We’ll have to try it in slow-mo.

Sorry to quote myself.

I was talking to my boss about this and had a further thought. Maybe Ben IS off his rocker and he’s got some sort of split personality and wanted to know what Jacob said to Locke because one side of his cracker doesn’t know?!?! :bigyikes:
