I don’t much about Mormons, and even less about JW’s. But a friend told me some Mormons believe a man can have more than 1 wife. I was shocked by that. But she says it’s true. If so, then I wonder what they believe about divorce and remarriage? I wonder if he knows Catholicism doesn’t allow this at all, unless a marriage is annulled, or your mate cheated on you. I think the Catholic church is a little too strict on this, but the protestants churches are way too lenient on it.
I’m fairly old, as in 61. I remember when most people in America had morals and considered God before they did a thing. My generation had a lot to do with the mess America is today. We wanted casual sex, abortions, divorce and remarriage. We got it too. But here we are 40 years later and too many people are miserable, insecure, and feel hopeless.
I believe you young people can fix things. But it won’t be easy, and the Catholics will have to lead the way. A Catholic has to be very, very, careful who he/she marries. Because it’s for life. Unless you want to be excommunicated. Your husband needs lessons in Catholicism.
I’m glad you feel at home in Catholicism. Our God is a forgiving God. He won’t hold against you what you did as a JW.
