My niece’s father-in-law was the Bishop of Los Angeles for several years denied the Resurrection of Christ. This was many years ago and it appears the Episcopal Church has gone downhill fast.

I don’t know how many are left in TEC that actually believe in the central doctrines of the Christian faith, at least as far as the clergy goes, this is why there are so many groups that have left the church and started different Continuing Anglican churches. The splits continue to happen, for some reason they all can’t seem to get together under one roof and be unified.

I do recall a response I believe came from GKC, that too many want to wear “purple”.

Given the number of bishops in the continuing movement, I expect to have my own personal bishop by Easter 2011.

Ah yes, Pet Sounds…good vibrations. Wilson was on his biggest drug trips and phobias at that point. great album! Best Beatles album?..I’d say Revolver or Abby Road…

Do you remember the George Harrison song “Dream Away” from Time Bandits? Love that tune. “Cheer Down” is another great Harrison classic. Gotta love George…along with his buddy, Jeff Lynn from ELO!
Nope. Know nothing about George.

Not boring at all. Boring is reading Chesterton–a banal and self-absorbed ego-maniac in love with his own words of wisdom and witicisms that could only be rivaled by a guy like Mark Twain. But I do like his monacle…

Ok now we’re even. I’ll take the Beatles, you take fat boy! 😃 I’ll take Magical Mystery Tour, Sgt. Pepper, Abby Road, and the White Album over listening to a Chesterton lecture anyday of the week! I’d give Chesterton a “ticket to ride!” 😛
Oh, I know the Beatles. Just don’t like them.

'Cept for a song or two.

Tedious, boring people.

You strike me as an Andrews Sisters and Glen Miller type of guy, Jim 😃

Don’t find them offensive, at that. But I’m a Celtic type, and a classical music (from roughly Bach through the Impressionists) type. And lots of bagpipes, in military bands. Can’t have too many bagpipes.

I was a drummer, mainly.

I’ll reread DUNE before I listen to the Beatles. Expect for one-two titles.

Not what I’m used to, my guys are usually marching at a 120 cadence and 30" pace. But not at all bad.

I got one technical gripe, but it’s personal.

Never heard of them before, wouldn’t mind having their cd in the car, for a change of pace.

GKC
You can order it here.

Let me guess - you didn’t like the guy with the faux-hawk?

Wrong. But nice try.

Thanks for the link, but I almost never order online. And I got maybe 75 bagpipe tapes and CDs.

But if I stumbled over that one, I’d have a go.

We have a guy calling the Beatles tedious and boring and yet he likes Bach! LOL:confused:😛
