Responding to what people said, the parish said “I feel I needed to help clarify. Yes, we are all created in the image and likeness of God and He does love each and everyone of us. However, that does not mean He loves our sins. The original post is simply stating that we should not be supporting the sin of acting on same sex attraction or committing homosexual acts. This sin goes against the natural law … Hate the sin, Love the Sinner, Help each other out of sin!’”
 
Father Metrejean celebrates the TLM near us, so we’ve attended before. Great priest, great homilies. He is adamant about speaking the truth in caritas. Our Lafayette TLM community loves him, as he is a part of it.
 
What!? Christ’s Church contains the Truth? That truth is hard for the world to hear? In other news water is wet.
Super sad that this is news and that it’s one Church making the news.

Fornication outside of marriage is not against the law in most jurisdictions yet I don’t see conservatives pushing to legally prohibit it. It seems that there are acts in our pluralistic society which are legal but have our objection.
 
Sure I’m all for fornication not being supported by the Church or society. I’m also against rape and murder.
 
These are hard times, when the secular laws protect and promote same sex marriage and support abortion. What makes it hard today, is when your religion teaches to obstain from such sin, we become a target for abuse for not supporting such sinful acts in the eyes of God. I believe this is the crux of these times. If your religion does not support another’s view, your religion comes under attack. What ever happened to freedom of religion? Freedom of speech?
Is it allowed for a gay marriage to abuse my religion of freedom, to force my priest to marry a same sex couple because it is a secular law? I wonder why President Hussein Obama administration wanted to outlaw the slogan

  1. Priests are not forced to do anything due to federal law.
  2. Calling Obama ‘Hussein’ is cute but disrespectful.
  3. “Don’t Tread on Me” on the Gadsden flag was the insignia of the 369th Armored Division, the “Harlem Hellfighters”, before any of the Tea Partiers were born. Obama could not outlaw it and did not want to.
  4. Freedom of speech relates to government action. No official has said you cannot say you are against same sex marriage. No religion was attacked.

I take it you did not live in California when the state was trying to pass a gay rights law to force the Catholic Church to marry same sex couples? It came down to the wire. The fight is not over, it remains in the courts, probably until after President Trump’s tenure. It will begin it’s “tread” again.

It’s disrespectful for you to not acknowledge a person’s full name; President Hussein Obama. Why do you disrespect this president’s name by not acknowledging it? Or are you trolling?
What part of the world do you live in? The underlining subjects I mentioned are why there are riots in our streets today. Had the losing party gained the white house everything i mentioned above would be on the surface in political circles. But it is just on pause for now.
Is that why President Hussein Obama wanted to out law “don’t tread on me”? because the tea party was using it for a slogan? It makes sense now. You are correct, he could’t outlaw it.

One’s full name includes the first name. President Barack Hussein Obama. You don’t address people by their middle and last names and treat it as their full name.

I read in a Dallas or San Antonio Texas airport newspaper and recycled it along time ago. Maybe the tea party has a copy of it, it they have a site that exist? I remember reading the tea party resistance on this matter. It was interesting read, that’s how I can recall it.
