Louisiana Catholic Church says gay relationships are sinful, and those who do not think it a sin are like the devil who twists the truth

That’s Ok, I won’t trouble myself for debunked lost case causes. But I am sure if you took the blinders off, you can find it.

Because everyone who doesn’t agree that Obama was an anti-American devil is brainwashed by the Libruls, right?
Do you believe Barrack Hussein Obama still advocates for same sex marriage today? or was it a political move to gain votes? Does his religion believe in same sex marriage? I trust you know more about this president than anyone I knnow.

Let’s stay on topic.
Same question to you.

Catholic and American governing values are not the same. America is governed by the Constitution, the Church by God. Accepting same-sex governmental marriage is not anti-American. Same-sex religious unions are against the teachings of God, though.

Don’t see what your question has to do with anything, is my point.

Which is precisely what you said to @Capta(name removed by moderator)rudeman.

Quite frankly, I don’t care. I don’t support same sex marriage, and I don’t support Obama. I don’t care what reasons he claims and actually believes in, if they support it, they’re wrong.

Was this your point above? I have no comment to your opinion.
Accepting same-sex governmental marriage is not anti-American
So in the future, if a U.S State was to legislate a law forcing the little sisters to offer birth control and abortion to their charity workers and if the same state passed a law forcing a Catholic priest to marry same sex couples, this legal State law will not be considered “anti-American” because it is a secular law?

You know these court battles are not over, there will be new ones.

I did not say that. That law would rightly be considered unconstitutional, because it infringes on one’s religious freedom. The government does, however, define marriage differently than the Church, and because of that, gay couples are guaranteed that as a right under our constitution.

I believe most states have legalized same sex marriage. You believe these state laws are wrong?

Thanks for that clarification.
So you would agree that no state in the union has the right to pass a law forcing a Catholic priest to marry a same sex catholic couple?

Then, quite frankly, the American government will have failed her people and should be deposed. Amending away any of the rights in the Bill of Rights is beyond unacceptable.

Tough luck for him. The court has already ruled on that issue, and he can’t do a thing about it. I do not fear the powerless.

I’m fully aware that rulings can be overturned. However, I have no doubt that this one will not be. The government has no power over religious institutions so long as one’s fundamental rights are not violated. Birth control is not one of those.

I’m not a particular fan of your pessimistic outlook on American democracy.

You have no faith in consent of the governed? Of the rights of the states to resist a federal government which oppresses its citizens and governments? The feds do not hold all the power, but your statements make it seem like they do.
