Hi.
I have a great uncle who passed away, and he requested in his last will and testament that he wants his funeral mass to be the TLM(EF).
Now I frequent the EF quite often in a parish that has it on Sundays, however I don’t know if I should contact one of the two priests who celebrate this, not sure if their schedule would allow it? And if they did would it have to be at a Church possibly further than the town which parish I belong too? Maybe I can call my parish priest and he could try to make an arrangement? I assume it would cost more but if this is his will we will respect it.
The man actually was going to SSPX masses for years but he actually began going to the OF about ten years ago I think because his health began declining. But I’m not about to contact the SSPX about this. Just was curious because noone else in my family has a clue how to make this happen( neither does the funeral director currently, guess he has never had a request like this personally so it is a first for him.)
Any suggestions would be great. We realize the services will probably have to wait longer than otherwise but we are going to respect his will.
