Non-Catholic Christians stating that she was just as h*#ny as any woman and that she got it on with Joseph. (It turned my stomach just insinuating what they said) That she was not special. That she was not Immaculately Conceived. That she was not chosen by God for any special reason that it was just the luck of the draw and that He would’ve just chosen another woman if she wouldve said know (completely undoing OT Prophecy).

To show how great
Muslims are when it comes to loving Mary and how lacking Protestants are when it comes to loving Mary.

I wish you wouldn’t trouble yourself with things some might state.

But remember, its all about who is the “Alpha and the Omega”. Jesus, the one who is, who was, and who is to come, the almighty.

Revelation 19:9-10
Then the angel said to me, "Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’ " And he added, “These are the true words of God.”

At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

And “what” was His command to us to show our Christianity and how we could convince others that we were His disciples?

That we love Mary as He did.

I think you’re posting in the wrong thread…this thread is on “Loving Mary…”

Check the heading here.

Again…same tactics.

Off-Topic posts.

Belittling of Mary.

And all from Christians.

Not one has stated that they love Mary more than Muslims do, yet attempt to discredit Islamic love for her by pointing out doctrinal differences.

This is why I’d rather break bread with one who lives God’s Word as opposed to those who only proclaim it but don’t live it.

Just like The Samaritan Jesus used to prove to the so called “chosen believers” how one truly pleases God…with their actions, not just with their words.

:gopray2:

I’ll pray that you all see Mary as Muslims and as the overwhelming majority of your Christian brethren see her…

…as the highest of God’s creations.

Immaculately Conceived and as the Consecrated Virgin that Scripture tells us she was to God.

The Protestants were the ones who left The Household of God. Just as in The Prodigal Son Parable, the Lord of the household doesn’t chase down the son who took off with his inheritance and sqandered it…but stayed with the good son who was loyal and who stayed home.
Hmmmm still don’t know what that has to do with me asking for people to build relationships between catholics and protestants.

This pertains to us and God, not catholics and protestants. The father in the parable doesn’t chase him down and neither does God chase us down.
Ooo! Catholics, some Protestants and Muslims just cringed at that statement! That was a very ugly sentiment, that Mary was a “mere” woman and was broken.
I guess I don’t see what you see. I find her to be a greater woman because she was human and destined to the same fate we were but even through this she chose God. Why would she say that she needed a Savior if she was already saved by God?
I guess you don’t buy into the whole “a tree is judged by the fruit it bears” teaching of Christ (especially since He is the fruit of Mary). Therefore, in this case of Our Lord’s Mother, you believe that the tree that bore Christ was rotten (even though Jesus said that no rotten tree can bear good fruit).
Oh my goodness… The ‘fruit’ He spoke of was not of children but of our actions.
"Matthew 3:9-10:
9And do not think you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 10The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
Is He going to ‘cut down’ every woman who bears evil children? No, it is regarding our actions, not our children…

BTW, I never said she was rotten. Just broken like the rest of us. If by broken you take that to mean rotten how could we produce good fruit as He indicates in that passage?
Or maybe the whole “Blessed art thou among women” just doesn’t register with you.

See that? I knew that if you responded long enough, you’re true feelings of Mary would be exposed.

You know who else hates to hear Mary exhulted above all other women? Satan. He can’t stand her.
So now I am equivelant with Satan? Talk about your personal insults.

She is MORE Blessed because she was broken like I am but she still chose God. How could one NOT be BLESSED when God chooses them???
Ok, show me one verse in The Word of God that states that Mary had one fault?
It doesn’t state that she was assumed to Heaven yet you believe that… Again, she admits that she needed a Savior. Why would she need one when God had already saved her?
How could she be “full of grace” (which means full of God’s favor) and be a sinner?

Since when has an unsaved sinner had favor with God?
"Acts 6:8:
8Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people.
Seems to have worked with Stephen. Unless he was also saved from sin upon conception…
Remember, it wasn’t Jesus’ birth that brought forth salvation, but His death. How could she be saved by God then without the sacrifice of The Lamb “before” Jesus was even born?
That is what I would like to know!!! Your assertion is just this, that Mary was without sin and saved from it before His sacrifice.

Singinbeauty;3215997:
So, that proves that Mary was saved by God and not by Jesus since she was full of grace “before” Jesus was slain to cleanse anybody of their sin!

👍

But isn’t Jesus God? Like the scripture I posted that you said had no place on this thread, but it sure does.

He is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last.

You really are starting to not make much sense at all.

2ndGen;3216035:
But isn’t Jesus God? Like the scripture I posted that you said had no place on this thread, but it sure does.
That depends who you ask when it comes to Protestants.

When it comes to her being saved by Jesus “before” He made the sacrifice of His death, then He is God, but when Elisabeth refers to Mary as The Mother of her Lord, then she was only referring to Jesus of The Trinity.

Of course, reason dictates that since Jesus hadn’t been born yet, He hadn’t saved anybody especially since it was His death that conquered original sin, not His birth.

Nothing was “accomplished” until He died on The Cross.

So, no one could be saved “unless” God (The Triune God and not Jesus “alone”) chose to preserve them.

And what a reason God had to preserve Mary! She was chosen to bring His Son into the world!

To be the only human being to contribute flesh to Him…
…how could that flesh be tainted with original sin?

It would’ve been passed on to Jesus.

The very blood He shed for us came from no man, but from Mary.

Just as Eve introduced sin into our bloodline, Mary’s blood removed sin from our bloodline.

Now that that insurrection has been quelled, back on to the topic…

…why don’t Protestants love Mary as much as Muslims and Catholics do?

You’re asking the leavee to reach out to the leaver.
No, I am asking that you follow Christ’s example and reach out in love.
Where does she state that she “needed” a Saviour?

Chapter and Verse please?
"Luke 1:46-48 (King James Version):
46And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

47And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

48For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
I also find it interesting that she regarded herself in low estate or a lowly servant of God in other versions… It seems not even Mary put herself above others…
But Jesus is called “the Fruit” of Mary…isn’t He the fruit of her actions when she obeyed God and had His Son?

Again, what is the fruit of her actions in bearing Christ and what does that make her (the tree)?
Her action is the fruit of her Faith. Jesus is the ‘fruit’ of the Holy Spirit coming over Mary. Jesus existed (before He bacame flesh) before Mary was a glint in Eve’s eye so how He could be the fruit of Mary puzzles me.
Well, that’s your religious opinion. Only 614 Million (Jews who obviously have an ax to grind and non-Catholic Christians that didn’t exist until the 16th century believe that).

But Christianity and Islam believe different than those who crucified Jesus and those who were founded by men in Europe…thats 3.1 Billioin (with a capitol “B”).
You didn’t answer my question. I said she was broken and you took that to mean I was saying she was rotten. We are all broken in the sense that we struggle with sin. We don’t always succumb to every sin but we struggle with it. How can we produce good fruit if we are rotten?

I will answer, we can’t. Being broken does not mean rotten. We are broken because we cannot grow and prosper on our own, we need God. If we pull our energy and nutrients from God we will produce good fruit. Mary is a PRIME example of this. She chose God over her human nature and is an amazing woman to follow her example.
Yes…you hate to hear her name exhaulted above all other women. You and Satan have that in common.

But you can correct me now and state that you don’t hate to hear Mary exhaulted above all other women as Christians (at least 94%) and Muslims do.
This is ludicrous. I hate to hear her name exhaulted above all other women? When was the last time you were in my head??? Are you God? Do you know my heart? Do you possess some power that gives you insight into another’s heart?

Though I would have thought that Satan would want people to pay more attention to Mary because it takes focus off Jesus. 🤷

Mary is BLESSED over all women as scripture claims… Duh, God chose her out of all women, how could she not be blessed?

Jesus is EXHAULTED above all others.
Which is it?

More blessed because she chose God?

Or blessed because God chose her?

Or both?
Both. It is not one or the other, it is both / and.
See, you believe she “became” special.

We believe that she was “born” special.
No, I believe she WAS / IS special because of the part she played in Christ’s earthly visit. God chose her and that makes her special.
Of course God who formed us all in the womb took the artistic freedom to make sure that His Son would’nt be carried by a sinner into this world.
I think that it makes Christ’s entry into this world even more amazing because He chose to come into it just as we all enter it. He humbled Himself to our ‘level’ to become the sacrifice needed to bring us closer to God.
What would that make His Son if she was a sinner (try to think like Jew think when they define what a person is by what their mother is)?
It would still make Him Christ our Saviour because He is GOD. Nothing can change that. Sin isn’t going to rub off on Him in the womb.
And besides, you never answered my question:

If you could choose between two busses to send your kids to school, which one would you use…an immaculately clean new bus? Or a filthy broken down bus?

If you choose the immaculately clean bus over the broken filthy bus, what makes you think God would love His own Son any less and put Him on a broken bus?
Wait, I demean Mary by saying she is a mere human and you compare Mary to a bus?!?! Like she was just transportation to get Christ on this earth???

Consider Christ’s ultimate goal in coming into this world. He was to become the living and ultimate sacrifice. How could He pay our price if He didn’t experience our life from beginning to end? To me, it makes His Sacrifice GREATER because He knew what our life was like.

Singinbeauty;3216447:
Is that your answer?

You won’t answer that question because you know that once you say that you’ll of course put your child on the immaculately clean bus, I’ll be all over that statement!

:rotfl:

Of course, you could always “answer the question” and stop trying to avoid it! 😃

Here, I’ll post it for you a third
time:

If you could choose between two busses to send your kids to school, which one would you use…an immaculately clean new bus? Or a filthy broken down bus?

If you choose the immaculately clean bus over the broken filthy bus, what makes you think God would love His own Son any less and put Him on a broken bus
I have been answering your questions. Like when you asked where you had said that Lutherans and Episcipals weren’t protestant… Funny how you never addressed that. I gave you your quotes and you decided not to answer…

I am human, Mary is too. She is not a bus. God is not a human, so to compare what I would do and what you believe that He did is not right. We don’t know God’s mind.

Of course I would put my child on the clean bus. But Mary is NOT a bus, nor a form of transportation to get Christ to this earth. You demean her by comparing her to a bus.

But you know, you want to bash protestants, fine. I, for now, am tired of your talking in circles and not admitting when you are shown to be wrong.

I am done for now…

🙂 hi siningbeauty…FYI the churh refers to Mary as the ark of the new covenant. how could Jesus not be sinless if Mary was still in orginal sin? have you ever answered some one on a topic of faith and not know where the answer came from? it has happened to me once. When i looked into the question that was posed to me later i found word for word the reply i gave to the person’s question. that is the guidence of the HS. so when Mary said “why should my Saviour be born of me” she didn’t really understand the full impliction of her words. or did know that she was saved by God for this purpose?

Uh, yeah, I did.
Of course I would put my child on the clean bus.
Forum…let’s marinate on that statement for a while.

Let’s let it sink in and let us reflect on her exact words.

:harp:

Yeah…that’s usually the response when someone is backed into a corner.

And again, anyone who takes the time to research my threads will find that you are misreprenting me.

However, I do LOVE to bash anybody who belittles The Blessed Virgin Mary and frustrate them into a state of :banghead: . I’ll admit that openly.

👍

Well, we now know how important you think your child is at least.

Jesus’ lesson on our love for our children and His Father’s love for His Children; Now, imagine how much more He would do for His only begotten Son?

Luke 7:
9
Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10
Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

If any reasonable parent places their children in the best transport possible to send their children anywhere given the choice, how perfect would the vehicle be chosen by God to transport His Son?
