I’m a convert and I live in San Diego but most parishes around me are lukewarm and have adoratuon only one time a month and no Saturday morning masses are offered in a lot of these parishes either…what should I do? Btw. I think that there are a lot of freemasons in my area of San Diego…

Check out St. Anne Church.

Lukewarm is kinda harsh. Just because they only have adoration once a month, and no Saturday morning masses hardly brings into question their piety:shrug:

You do realize that Christ is present in the Tabernacle 24-7?
The Monstrance doesn’t have to out to adore the Lord.
Go. Make a holy hour. Nothing stopping you or anyone else.

A locked door stops me. Our church is always locked except during Mass.

Lukewarm?! Isn’t Catholic Answers ***based ***around San Diego!? Maybe you should call the radio program and get a live answer. They’ve got an open forum coming up on Tuesday…

Go in through the office. They keep office hours.
People walk through our offices all day long.
Our offices are across the street. A busy street. We have one secretary and she isn’t too keen on doing this, though I don’t blame her too much as it’s a very busy street. She also leaves at 3 pm, so it’s impossible to get in the church after that. My only real option is to go to another parish; lucky for me, a 24-hour adoration chapel is only half an hour away. OP, where’s your nearest one?

Not all Catholic Churches have this option. Our parish only has the office open three hours a week maximum and it is in a completely different location from the church. Most of the Catholic churches in our area are the same way. Only a few in larger populated parts of the diocese don’t share priests and have offices on the premises that actually have people working in them on a regularly scheduled basis. People here are very devout and our church is open 24/7 but other churches here aren’t. It has nothing to do with piety and everything to do with manpower.

Check out St. Therese in San Diego. Daily Mass is at 7:30 and the Adoration Chapel co-ordinator is looking for volunteers. You also might want to look into to the Knights of Columbus and meet some new people.

Catholic1954 Ibgo to that adoration chapel at St. Therese once a week…bit I live in El Cajon…

Here is one church, Our Lady of the Rosary. They don’t have PEA, but you can sign up for a one hour slot to adore Jesus. There is contact information to sign up.

St Anne Church is 21 minutes drive (15 miles) without traffic.

Edit: Never mind. St Therese is closer…

That’s my favorite Parish especially father Louie but it’s so far and I don’t drive I go on the trolley… that’s see

Look into the bus. The church is not far from the high school or SDSU and is on a busy main street.

Deny yourself, pick up your cross, follow him…even across busy streets, even at inconvenient times.

Dude! You live in the *very town *where Catholic Answers is located! You could probably walk to their offices! Seriously, everyone working there is willing to help you out (it’s kinda what they do). The fact that they are in the exact same town as you can only make their job that much easier.

Why go across the busy street to the office if it isn’t connected to the locked church?

Uh, I said I drive to another town. I can’t quit my job in the hopes that the secretary is actually there and willing to open the church door.
