Exactly!and if it does, he can either wait until it is over, or employ some soap and water afterwards. There is nothing dangerous or disgusting about menstrual fluid.

Mine does (all blood makes him squeamish). Fine by me, though. Usually I’m in enough discomfort that I don’t want any extra sensation in those nether regions. So we’re both totally okay with waiting a few days. If he was interested I’d be the one pushing him away until it was over. Not all men feel that way. My husband and I have engaged in intercourse during my menstrual cycle, doesn’t seem to bother him

Oh really? Not disgusting? I would bet the vast majority of men think it is. Its like a dog in heat!and if it does, he can either wait until it is over, or employ some soap and water afterwards. There is nothing dangerous or disgusting about menstrual fluid.
I think this subject needs to be over and done with.Oh really? Not disgusting? I would bet the vast majority of men think it is. Its like a dog in heat!
The vast majority of male dogs really like a lady dog in heat, actually. Please, drop it! It’s between each couple to decide if they’re comfortable with it or not. You obviously don’t like it, no one’s forcing you to do it, no worries! ^^Oh really? Not disgusting? I would bet the vast majority of men think it is. Its like a dog in heat!
The vast majority of men still need to learn to respect women and their bodies.Oh really? Not disgusting? I would bet the vast majority of men think it is. Its like a dog in heat!
Sorry, ya gotta point there! Ok I thought maybe a woman would want a MAN’s perspective. But I will leave you ladies back to your lady bussiness!I think this subject needs to be over and done with.
As I posted before, it doesn’t bother some couples, it bothers others. Each couple does as they are comfortable.

Why are you on a thread about menstruation products anyway?
I had been following this thread with interest and had to say something here.Oh really? Not disgusting? I would bet the vast majority of men think it is. Its like a dog in heat!
Here, here!I had been following with interest this thread and had to say something here.
What a derogatory comment! To compare menstruating women with dogs!!
Like someone said earlier, it’s the way God made us, nothing disgusting about it at all. My husband has never bothered about it like this, he doesn’t think it’s disgusting. It has never put him off relations. I guess it’s just the way you look at it…
Anyway, I have never heard of anything like this in Australia. I am very interested as I have myself and three girls. Costs us a fortune for sanitary pads and tampons.
Can young girls (virgins) use them or would that not be advisable?
(I mean the one that goes inside.)
I am 21 and a virgin. the diva cup took some getting used to in general, but it is fine now. i doubt it was from being a virgin becasue other people i talked to on another forum had the same experience (who were not virgins)Here, here!
As for the Divacup and SeaPearls, if a virgin can use tampons, I’m sure she could use it, if she was comfortable with it. I’m not, so I wouldn’t it. There’s nothing wrong with it, but it might be more difficult for a virgin… I have no idea, being a virgin myself, so I have nothing to compare it to… ^^;;
I have to ask…when you say no smell, do you mean smell of the pads themselves or the smell after you use them, because I never noticed an odor when using them. I don’t like tampons at all, cause I agree with what one of the posters said above about not generally liking things in there that don’t belong.Try www.natracare.com they make natural organic cotton pads and tampons. Safer, and no smell.
As for when the cup is full, I you get to know by checking periodically. Some people only ckeck it twice a day. It is safe to leave in al night too. I have only gotten close to filling it on the first day of a period. and it creates a seal, so nothing will leak. It just might be a bit messy to take out and empty if it is all the way full. because it is safe to be in for an extended time, i have never had to empty it in a public bathroom. If you have to, you can just wipe it off with toilet paper and put it back in.
Yes, neither of them remain inside for up to eight hours and have a risk of TSS. and how do you know pads are even clean from the factory? i mean, your husband bathes, and you launder your underwear before use. not so with pads and tampons. they also have chemicals in them the makers are not required to label.I have to ask…when you say no smell, do you mean smell of the pads themselves or the smell after you use them, because I never noticed an odor when using them. These things sound great economically and environmentally, but there is no need for menstrual products to be sterile. For the most part, your vaginal canal has a way of protecting itself against bacteria. For example,… your undergarments and your husband are not sterile.![]()
Yes that 's why I don’t use tampons. I never liked them, and don’t really like anything that doesn’t belong up there.Yes, neither of them remain inside for up to eight hours and have a risk of TSS…
I understand what you are saying about laundering and taking a bath, but that is different from being sterile. I was just simply pointing out that they don’t really need to be sterile and that bacteria live in your vaginal canal. There is a normal bacterial flora in there that is there for this very reason…protection against foreign invasion.and how do you know pads are even clean from the factory? i mean, your husband bathes, and you launder your underwear before use. not so with pads and tampons. they also have chemicals in them the makers are not required to label…

How could using cloth make the menses lessen?
- Lunapads ships internationally, and I have to say that I like the Lunapads over other ones I have tried (Gladrags, Hagrags, and self-made which all have internal liners). Lunapads have replaceable padding on top of the pad, instead of inside. This lets you layer, especially if you are going to be out all day. This is what I do, and I have my carrying bag with me. I remove the soiled top pad and put it into carrying bag. i get home, rinse and throw it into a soaking bucket, then wash them when I do my towels, sheets, and Vivi’s training pants.
- The average woman will spend $420 in pads over 10 years, and $530 in tampons over 10 years. Most washable pads last 5 years, longer if you care for them well. I purchased the deluxe kit for $120. I have since purchased some extra liners , but it is all up to your personal cycle.
- Lunapads offers a “How-to-Choose” section to help you decide what type of pads are appropriate for your (or your daughters’) cycle(s).
- I have to say that I have seen my menses actually lessen since I started using chloth. The day length is the same, but the “output” (if that makes sense) is less.
I honestly have no ideaHow could using cloth make the menses lessen?
This website offers a “luna rinse” which seems to be a stain spray that you can spray on the used pads and leave them until wash day. This time I decided to skip the water and just put them in a dry bucket. Tonight I put them in the washer to soak with some OxyWhite non-bleach bleachI don’t know if that will work for you, but I’ll let you know how it goes. I’m wondering if the stain will come out alright since they weren’t soaked. It worked fine with cloth diapers, but this is a little different, so we’ll see…
