My mother was the toast maven, except she always burned it. She burned pretty much everything. I didn’t know I liked toast or bacon until I got my first job at IHOP.I like your meal idea…I had never thought of toast. LOL I ate a bowl of oatmeal, small bowl, today…for breakfast…and for lunch, had the soup and a small amount of fish. For dinner, the sorry fish filet sandwich from McDonald’s. Is that food? lol
I need to remember…TOAST. Toast would be good. Thanks for sharing.
V-8 is a good choice in fact, because it’s one or two servings of vegetables, lots of vitamins and kind of filling. When I was dancing I drank it a lot because of the low calories and high nutrient content. It helps that I like it too. Thanks for the link. Awesome knife there in the picture!
although one of my major pet peeves is the mis-use of the word DECADENT to describe something luxurious or delicious. The root word is decay. Decadence is to be avoided at all costs.
Hey, that looked like a Cali roll, too.
I do have a question: the official fasting rules state that liquid can be taken between meals. Is this just water, or is coffee with milk in it okay?
I can has a V-8?
I wouldn’t try the juicer for thathaving a juicer makes juice so much better in so many ways…
does anyone have any tasty ways of preparing fish?
What???lol Oh brother. Well, that’s good to know! I thought it was every Friday…why did I think this? Well, maybe I’ll still continue every Friday.

They might have improved! You’re going to make me cry. The one in my desk drawer here says 100% Vitamin A, 115% Vitamin C, 6% Calcium, 15% iron, 15% folic acid and 70 calories. I need my bubble!
You know what I like even better, especially if my sinus are bad or I have a cold? Mr & Mrs T Bloody Mary mix! No vodka, but it’s thinner and just a little spicy so it kind of opens up your head.
I have never in my life had a bloody mary…is it good? I might have to take your word for this medicinal conconction. You’re going to make me cry. The one in my desk drawer here says 100% Vitamin A, 115% Vitamin C, 6% Calcium, 15% iron, 15% folic acid and 70 calories. I need my bubble!

I love steamed fish and rice (we have a steamer, but it comes out much the same if you do this in the oven):having a juicer makes juice so much better in so many ways…
does anyone have any tasty ways of preparing fish? i find that i am already tired of preparing the ever ubiquitous “baked fish”.
thanks and God bless.
phew… that’s what I thought! At least I’m not horribly mixed up…It’s a choice some people make but you are only required to abstain on Ash Wednesday (also a fast day), and Fridays, including Good Friday (fast day again).
You are thinking of the OP, which is me…lol I was the “horribly mixed up one.”phew… that’s what I thought! At least I’m not horribly mixed up…
Although the idea of entirely changing meals for lent has come up a few times and it seems appealing perhaps. As long as I can figure out a good spiritual reason to do it, I might consider it for next year.
I like someone’s idea of fasting on all the fridays of Lent… this past Friday didn’t seem much different since I eat fish a couple times a week anyway.
A Bloody Mary is ok. Sometimes they stick a celery stick and a shrimp on the edge of the glass. I prefer my calories and carbs in the form of chocolate and/or ice cream.I have never in my life had a bloody mary…is it good? I might have to take your word for this medicinal conconction.![]()
