Lunchroom lunacy: Isd cops investigate $2 bill spent on school lunch

I used to get $2 bills as change once in awhile at this small local bookstore. I never spent those and keep them hidden away now.

I’d be more suspicious in this story if a fake $3 was used.
I never pay with cash, but I would love to get change in 2 cent, 3 cent, 20 cent, and half cent coins. I would only question the sanity of the stores who gave them out for change. Ignorance is even more expensive than a good education.

I thought people are innocent until proven guilty?
I was told that the American police have a right to arrest someone and hold him in jail for three days without a trial. Further, the American police can strip you of your shoes, pencils, paper, books, belt, wallet and many other things while they hold you in jail without a trial. In some cases they may allow you one phone call, but if the person on the other end does not answer for some reason, you are out of luck and cannot have a second phone call. In some cases the American police will not allow you one phone call. You are locked up with gangsters and other dubious people who oftentimes will molest and beat you while the guards do nothing and look the other way. As soon as you are locked up, these gang members will often test you and look for some reason to pick a fight or to molest you in some way. The guards don’t care if you are beaten or not.
I was unable to sleep one night and decided to take a walk around the block to see if that would help my insomnia. All of a sudden three American police cars with lights blaring and sirens blasting rushed to my side and the American police jumped out of the car with their nightsticks drawn. they demanded to know why I was walking at that time of night (actually early morning) and said that a neighborhood watch patrol had called in a report that I was burglarizing some house. They demanded my ID but unfortunately for me I had left my ID in the house since I thought that I was going out for a pleasant and peaceful walk in America. When I asked them if this was the American gestappo, they became furious and threatened me further. It was clear that in their eyes I was guilty until I could prove that I was innocent of the charges.

Yes, that sounds about right, unfortunately this is all too common, if you happen to be out at a time they deem to be late or too early, you had better have a good reason and proof of what you are doing and where you are going or coming from, the funny thing is, if you refuse to give your name or start invoking your rights, they just get tougher, and really start wondering why you are out, more than likely they will find ‘something’ to take you in for, or ‘hold’ you for a specific time.

Nowadays, you are guilty until and unless you can prove you are innocent. This is more reason why we need a MAJOR criminal justice overhaul in the US, a person should NOT be intensely interrogated only because they invoke their rights about talking to law enforcement, I believe if a person refuses to comply, the police (by law) must leave the person alone, unless they are actually guilty, but thats the tough part, who determines what is considered suspicious enough to warrant possible guilt, US police are notorious for manipulating the situation and taking advantage of people who do not know their rights about search and seizure and a late night broken taillight ends up being a felony arrest due to the person giving in and letting them search, but when the tables are turned and its the civilian taking advantage of their rights, suddenly its wrong…?? lol

People should start teaching their kids their rights when it comes to talking to LE, and just not tell them to obey anything and everything they tell you, this is where the past generations went wrong and why LE are like this today, thankfully it does seem like the younger generation are standing up and refusing/ exercising their rights more, many Youtube videos to prove this!

Are you saying there’s a national police force?

At the same time, if people would stop breaking the law, we would have less problems

At the same time, if people would stop breaking the law, we would have less problems
I’m sorry innocent people have to go through tough questioning with the police but in my area I’m thankful they are there. It is very sad not to feel safe in your own neighborhood.
I’m praying for them and all the people they deal with. It isn’t easy for them, either. So, when the old adage says you catch more flies with honey–wouldn’t it be better to be civil to the police who are trying to protect the neighborhood? Sure they can be wrong, but don’t assume that is their intent…

At the same time, if people would stop breaking the law, we would have less problems
There will always be a certain percentage of people willing to break the laws, and no law is 100% effective, but that does give the authorities the right to be suspicious of everyone, and/or especially taking advantage of those who do not know their rights that well to further their investigations, such as intimidating someone who refuses a search of vehicle, refusal to give name or ID, etc.

We have those rights for a reason, if police try to take advantage of people who try to exercise them, why should we react any different than they do in the same situation?

Body cameras would be helpful to some extent in this regard, but I still think police would try ‘sneaky’ methods to try and gain permission to search or acquire name/ ID, etc.

Ive been thru this before, when I was in my late teens, out late with friends, police pulled us over and got us all out of the car, intensely asked where we were going, where we were coming from, why we were out that late, They separated the 3 of us, and had 2 more cops come to the scene to assist, they asked the driver permission to search, he asked why and denied, the cops thought this was funny, started asking why anyone would deny a search if they had nothing to hide, I saw this first hand, it was very intense, they used pressure to try to and get permission, when he still refused, they started in on other things, well, we could hold your car for up to 48 hours if we feel it is needed, this person over here said something different, etc etc, so on and so on.

After awhile, he still refused and eventually they released us, but he did get a ticket for some equipment defect, something minor, but it was an eye opening experience for me. Imo, when they were refused the search, they should have left and not been able to discuss this further, why should a civilian be scrutinized intensely for exercising their rights about a search, but the cop is able to intimidate and use sneaky tactics to gain permission, basically the same thing?

A 13yo criminal mastermind…counterfeiting $2 bills…with dates from the 1950’s…in a denomination that EVERYONE takes notice of because it is rarely used.

I would love to interrogate the morons at this school and the police officers as well. I would love to point-by-point walk through their lack of common sense and good judgment, asking them at each stage why they chose to believe in a 13yo criminal mastermind counterfeiter in $2 bills.

Keanu Reeves attempting a southern accent in The Devil’s Advocate was more believable.

As opposed to a genuine $3 bill? 😃
