I’ve been going through a lot lately. I’ve been trying to deal with it in order to save my family.
That said, I took the advice of people from the forum and finally spoke to a priest regarding my issues. Just a little background regarding my spirituality I am devoutly Catholic, although not always the most pious, I always held my faith in high regard. Recently, I’ve had to face some demons that caused me to question my faith and even become angry at God. I admit I don’t want to be that way, and I even asked the priest how can I heal my relationship with God.
That’s where things got a little confusing for me. Although the priest was nice, and not confrontational in any way, he made it seem that I shouldn’t be mad at God and it’s not fair, and that it’s my fault. I’ve been betrayed by everyone in my life at one point or another, , I was abused as a child, I am currently estranged from extended family, I’m the sole provider for my family, wife doesn’t know how to support me, and a couple of my kids have Autism. Sorry for feeling in the dumps for what life has given me, but blaming me in the emotional state I was already in didn’t seem appropriate. I’m sorry for being mad at God, but if he the is the Creator for all, and if all around me appears to be falling apart, then it’s only natural to build that correlation. I’m trying to fix it, but it seemed like another slap in the face.
