“Don’t presume to judge.” Little touchy when someone isn’t sympathetic to your rant, aren’t you?

Next up: The OP and her friends tell me “If you don’t like my post, don’t respond.” And “I’ll show him, I’ll report him to a moderator for hurting my feelings.” Film at 11.

Paul
Do you work at Target?

*And…Paul…these gadgets should come ready to use. I don’t care to know all the reasons behind why they don’t come ready to use…they just should. If you want to play with a gadget for hours before you actually use it…that is your choice. I feel it’s a waste of time, to have to wait on machinery in this day and age.

And that is my right… :thankyou: *
Are you incapable of understanding why things don’t always come ready to use or do you just choose to ignore reality?

Not sure why you are attacking me…but, your rudeness is uncalled for in this thread.*

Funny thing about posting on a public forum on the internet–people may disagree with you. If you call my disagreeing with you, rude, that’s your choice. If you feel it is abusive, I urge you to report me. You could also put me on ignore and never have to be burdened with my disagreeable self.

The other thing we could do is both set down our weapons and slowly back away. It is divine mercy Sunday tomorrow, after all.

I guess the last choice would be to continue the shouting match. That’s probably the most entertaining for others reading this.

Which appeals to you, my friend?

Hmmm…well, it’s only a camcorder…and you are a brother in Christ.:o I will say, though, seeing that you are in IT (according to your profile) you should try to show more compassion to those of us who are not electronic savvy. :o 😉

Just sayin’. lol

Anyways, I hope you have a wonderful Divine Mercy Sunday, and I notice you are on a journey to becoming Catholic? God bless you on that journey.*

So, did you see the news that the surviving members of the Dead are getting back together for a tour? Are you a fan?

Paul
Big fan, they were a little before my time.😃 But I do like the DeadHead Store. Another the other group I enjoy that is still going strong is “The Who”. It is wild that CSI TV show uses their tunes. Check this:

You are of course right. I should show more patience. You should have seen me before I believed in the saving love of our Lord. 😉

I’ll pray for my temper, your camcorder, and for you. I hope your Divine Mercy Sunday is also blessed and peaceful!

*I should show more patience for machines…I guess. They don’t have souls though, you know. lol

You remind me of my husband’s brother…he is in IT…and it took him a while to forgive me for getting upset with my computer. 😃

Peace be to you, too*.

Dude, you’re a biker? Me too, is the T700 the Trek Model? I have a Specialized, Roubaix, full Ultegra. I ride before work, too dangerous to commute in my parts.😃

Live to ride; ride to live! My T700 is a 15 year old touring bike from Cannondale. See here for a picture of a similar ride to mine: velospace.org/node/6201 .

I commuted when I was 3, 5, and 10 miles from work, but at 25, I gave it up. Bummer.

Paul

Just for future reference, you don’t REALLY need to wait for 2 hours before using the camcorder, even if they tell you that you do. 45 minutes should be enough to get a short video in. Most of the time, they tell you to wait for 2-3 hours only so you don’t go back and complain when the battery doesn’t last as long as you think it will.

(And yes, there are very good reasons why you would not want the devices to arrive charged…I don’t think the store would be very happy if the packages started bursting into flame while sitting in the truck…)

ah yes. I hadn’t thought of that. 😊 ha! Fine.

Well, I called the customer service line and that is what they ‘highly recommended…’ because the next time I charge the battery it will charge for a shorter time…so the battery can go 3 to 4 hours with the charged battery-I was told that it would charge for much less, if I unplug it before it is ‘completely’ charged.

🤷

Thus, my rant. :o

I will admit…I should have made my way to the store much earlier…then none of this would have happened. But, I honestly didn’t even think about the need to charge the camera battery. I can’t recall if I needed to do this with my cell phone. :hmmm: Just wasn’t thinking I guess.

My dd wants to buy a gadget that somehow hooks her guitar directly to the computer, so she can play songs on youtube…I said,if it requires reading a 2 hour long manual, I’m out. DD loves to read instruction manuals, however…:)*

Yep great looking touring bike.👍 Chromoly fork too. You must have a million miles on it by now.😃

If you partially charge a battery over and over again…like 25 times…than I can see how this could weaken it (because part of it might fail due to underuse.) Just this once – you aren’t going to hurt anything.

Most “rules” on how to treat rechargeable batteries are more superstition than anything.
