The term “apologetics” literally means “to answer, account for or defend,” and through the 1950s even Catholic high school students were given specific training in responding to questions about Catholicism and challenges to church teaching.

I think this is going to make all the difference between evangelization and non-evangelization. In fact, I would love to take such a course if offered, provided it was solid and not about providing happy-clappy answers to questions.
 
Does anyone know if a classroom curriculum for adults is available in this field? I would love to teach a class in my parish. We usually do Bible study, but it often goes on hiatus between courses, so there would be plenty of opportunity to insert this useful course.
