It seems a dress code is required for airlines now. Here is how New York City recently handled the problem of scantily clad visitors to its jail:
Skimpily dressed visitors to New York City’s main jail complex can only see inmates if they cover up with an oversized, baggy, green T-shirt as part of a new dress code.
The new rules at Rikers Island aim to maintain a “family friendly” environment at the jail.
The city’s Department of Corrections has purchased some 750 T-shirts in an easy-to-track shade of bright green. The shirts, all size XXL, are meant to be shapeless on all but the heaviest frames.

This just in from the San Francisco ChronicleSix days before a college football player was arrested at San Francisco International Airport in a dispute that began when a US Airways employee asked him to pull up his sagging pants, a man who was wearing little but women’s undergarments was allowed to fly the airline, a US Airways spokeswoman conceded Tuesday.

A photo of the scantily clad man was provided to The Chronicle by Jill Tarlow, a passenger on the June 9 flight from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Phoenix. Tarlow said other passengers had complained to airline workers before the plane boarded, but that employees had ignored those complaints.

I’m *almost *speechless. Almost. On one hand I can’t believe that they would ignore other passengers very valid complaints about how uncomfortable this must have made them. If I was there with my Daughter I don’t care where I was going, I would want my money for my ticket back. Yes, that is their customer, but I am too - and my concerns/comfort are just as important as his. I can’t even imagine, how freaky that must have been for all the kids in the airport to have seen that walking by…those kind of things leave imprints in kids minds, they can’t get it out, they’re confused by it- really weirded out by it.

On the other hand, this is right in line with my recent experiences.

Help me I’m having an anxiety attack…
