I think this is where the rubber meets the road,re what we are dealing with in terms of these terrorists attacks. It is time to get real,in that ,while the majority of Muslims are not terrorists, the majority of terrorists’ have been Muslim. regardless of the origin of where they were born, being radicalized to act out these attacks in the name of Allah, links the action directly with the faith. So,I understand your point and it is a valid one,IMO
That is not at all true; most of these events labeled terrorism are Hoaxes and False flags.

Have you heard of mutticulturalism?
Are you going to run around telling second or third generation citizens of a country, because tn there, have the accent, educated and culturally immersed there, that they don’t belong? In their own country?
I despise multiculturalism, we already had it, having different countries is “multicultural” and isn’t it convenient that only European nations must give up their identities. Again I could learn Japanese and have children immersed in its culture but they would never become Japanese.
You think it’s all white Brits? White Australia? White USA?
Europe should only be for Europeans, same with Australia(besides natives) America can be somewhat diverse as it did forcibly take people from Africa.
This is how young people become radicalised, through groups like Daesh telling keep de they don’t belong.

Really?
Yes really. Pic related is you.
What a s being British today? Is it a red haired royal flag waving blood sausage eating fox hunting peerage bowing Church of England person?
Its being someone who is actually British.
Should all Catholics in UK move to the Vatican?
Remember that Protestants abolished Catholicism in Britain its almost as if different religions don’t get along well. And no Catholic Brits have existed longer then Protestants Brits, they are still christian and meet every other criteria for being British.

NO! Diversity in and of itself is bad as it will lead to the destruction of our culture.
What culture? There isn’t much culture left to destroy.
Culturally he isn’t British, nor religiously, nor racially , but hes still “British” because he was born there. I see so he’s the liberal version of British.
So would a black person born in Slough who’s a monarchist, a member of the CofE (not a liberal parish) and served in the armed forces could never be British in anyway? In any event, citizenship is the subject not ethnicity.

Did I read it wrong? The opinion piece seemed to condemn ISIS as an utter fail (see last paragraph) without condemning all of ISlam…please tell me what I missed!
from the link, an example

“ISIS has claimed the attack, but of course, ISIS has an interest in projecting its power beyond its actual means – so its statements ought to be taken with a bucket of salt.
The fact of the matter is, we can expect more attacks of this nature to be attempted – and many more have already been attempted, while foiled by our security services. That is the world in which we, and many others around the world, now live.
But it is our collective choice as to how we live in that world. It isn’t a choice between security and insecurity – security measures that are necessary are in place (!!! p.n.). It’s a choice between allowing terrorists to win in changing our ways of life, and refusing them that success. "
Like Obama said, when he was president " get down from your high horse…”.
Or like some CNN anchor said some time ago “probability of being killed in a terrorist attack is less than the one of being hit by lightning”

Martial Law is what the Deep State wants.

Do you even believe it is wrong that that the Deep State has armed and funded ISIS?

So if a horse is born in a pasture he’s not a horse - only if he is born in a stable?
Just trying to connect the dots here.
A horse is still a horse regardless of where its born. A Arab is still a Arab regardless of where he is born. The point is the location of ones birth does not in fact determine that individual’s identity.

You smart donkey. 🙂

After declaring that terrorist attack are only “attempted” and “security measures are in place” so we shouldn’t worry that much the last paragraph is in the same wish-wash tone, don’t worry everything will be good no problem. All we have to do is keep it this way.

“One day, ISIS will be remembered only as the failed cult that it is, like so many other horrors that came before it – and we should ensure that our children can remember that ISIS failed utterly in every way – including their efforts to steal our humanity. That’s our choice to make.”

This guy wrote like it was about a book he read…

Funny, I read it as we will wipe them out, then I was in the First Gulf war and that is what we tried to do…they won’tvanish, they will be exterminated.

Then I will withdraw my recommendation forth with, e pluribus unum! Soryy to have wasted your time.

Oh did I strike a nerve? :tsktsk:

Nope only Anglo-Saxons, Scots or Welsh (maybe Irish) can be British. If I moved to Japan would that magically make me Japanese? No, even if I had children they’d still be treated as Americans, it is only the West that sees anyone with a residency as being a native, If a cat is born in a stable its still a cat not a horse.
Don’t call an Aboriginal Australian ‘native’. Its like calling someone nig ger or Eskimo. Heads up if you ever come down under mate.

Right so are you a Native American Indian?

A bomb goes off in a crowd and people don’t want to believe it’s terrorism? That doesn’t really make sense.
Being in a different time zone, I am late in catching up with the thread , and learning a few new words like troll, in the context of some unbelievable attitudes.

So my comment to Seamus, the OP, that not believing is a reaction. Meaning some things are just too big to immediately comprehend. Our mind says no way, we shut it down and deny it . But only until it sinks in, and the mind can cope.

The magnitude of an horrendous event can do this to us. ’ it wont happen to me, it can’t happen, it only happens in another place or time,

Reading a couple of people on this thread, I am not referring to them. For any number of reasons they are trolling.

We had, in Aus , a bushfire complex that was fast and deadly. People were not evacuating when they could. ‘It won’t happen to me, this house is safe’ kind of in shock about the seriousness of the event. Over 200 lost their lives.

What you just posted is not true at all.

Nobody has been able to prove, by showing a video of a bomb going off at this concert, that a bomb even went off at this concert. Can you show me a video of a bomb going off at this concert? If you can’t do this, you will have to change your false belief that a bomb went off at this concert.
