I don’t doubt it.Besides, the “other” could very well be a reality in 2012.
I have never in my life gone to Mass because I was supposed to.
Not.
One.
Time.
Before we started moving around the country, I went every day. I went more than once on Sundays quite often, because I sang in the choir and felt I couldn’t give the Mass my full attention. Is it because I am such a devout Holy person, gee gosh and so darned obedient wonderful?
Not so much. :nope:
These days, years later in a new place, I go to daily Mass in the evening three times a week usually (which is as often as we have it in the evening) and Saturday night. I’ll tell you why I go as often as I do:
Because God is there.
I personally don’t think God has a bit of interest in the number of times or on what mandatory holy days we go to Mass. I think if you don’t know God is there, you need to stop receiving the Eucharist immediately. I think if you do know God is there, the question you need to answer is: why would I ever want to be anywhere else?
