Tôi nghe kể lại là khoảng 4 giờ chiều ngày 29 tháng 10, có một giáo dân đã nhìn thấy nước mắt chảy từ khoé mắt Tượng Đức Mẹ, rồi tin đó dần được lan ra khắp nơi… Lần đầu tôi nhìn thấy lúc 20 giờ giọt nước mắt chảy từ khóe mắt phải tới cằm… khi quay lại để ghi hình lúc 11 giờ đêm, thì giọt nước mắt đó đã chảy tới dưới cằm xuống cổ… Nó càng minh chứng đó thực sự là giọt nước

My humble attempt to translate this paragraph:
I hear that, at about 4:00pm Oct 29th, there was a Catholic saw some tear coming out of the eye of the Virgin Mary statue. (Unintelligible due to my terrible Vietnamese). at 20:00, when I hold my head in repect,(may well be wrong!:o ) Tears coming down from the corner of her eye to the chin. The photo was taken at 11:00pm. Then those tear drops under the chin went down to her neck… It’s clear that those are water drops indeed.

btw vyvan, anh là người Việt, phải không?

This really caught me unprepared. I can’t read Vietnamese without tone marks, especially it contains words I don’t know as I can’t look them up in a dictionary.

Thai is my family name, there’s no way around. otherwise you can pronounce it the Mandarin way tsai4(high falling tone) or the Cantonese way tsoi3 (mid trailing tone, the same as in Vietnamese)

or you can use my given name dõi-khang;)

What’s your name written with all diacritical marks? Maybe I can get you a Chinese translation.
