havent you been reading the info on the medijore site; theres a 5 day jamborie of visitations by the Virgin from medijore now to happen in Alabama USA in a day or two; everybody is encouraged to come allong cos if ur not there you wont get the benifits of Our Lady’s graces like theyre hers to begin with?..
That group in Alabama is a cult, their strange spirituality is another thing that led me to question the apparitions in Med themselves. That one visionary comes yearly, she’s the one with the laicized priest under Interdict as a spiritual director. The visionary from Arizona that I mentioned has a cult-like following, that is what divided the parish. A historic parish that St Elizabeth Anne Seton once belonged to. A journalist actually started a cult watch website to point out the serious problems with the visionary and those of Med, he was an ex-Catholic at the time, he is now in the Archdiocesan Catholics Coming Home program. The website has been getting a lot of interest.
Sadly, many of these alleged apparitions are becoming cult-like, I had personal bad experiences with some of these followers, which further pushed me away. I thank God that I am away from the whole mess. These cultists thought they knew the mind of God, or Our Lady; so they could judge me and say that I have this problem or that problem because I “don’t have enough faith”. They are the most judgmental, mean-spirited people I have ever met; running around looking all pious and wearing a zillion religious medals or giant crucifixes around there necks thinking they are better than anyone else. The gossip that comes out of their mouths about those who aren’t part of their little apparition clique is appalling. I can only pray for them, because they revolt me so much to personally be around any of them, it’s become a near occasion of sin for me.
Unfortunately, since moving to Delaware, I’ve run into one of those people who follows both apparitions. As soon as she learned where I moved from, it was, “Oh you came from where Our Lady is appearing…” I cut her off and made it clear I do not subscribe to that nonsense, or Med, where the visionary was allegedly commissioned from. I’m glad that CAF doesn’t allow followers of these places to push these alleged and unapproved apparitions. We have Lourdes, Fatima, and more recently Kibeho, Akita and now the apparitions in Wisconsin. Why is that not enough? Why must people be seeking the newest and the latest visionary? We also have God Himself coming down from Heaven at the words of the priest, during the Consecration, at every Mass celebrated on altars around the world,
every single day. The Vatican is working on some new guidelines for examining these visionaries, when they institute these, it will be interesting to see what happens when the visionaries fail to pass these examinations.
