Thank you.

Thank you Timothy. I had spent more than 2 hours trying to find the origin.

If you don’t mind, how did you find it?

Thank you!!!

I know the question wasn’t addressed to me, Donkeykong, but I can tell you how. One site that is very useful is TinEye.com, which is a reverse-image search engine. You go to the site and drag a picture your searching for onto it, and it will look for sites the picture is posted on.

tineye.com/

In this instance, TineEye turned up nothing. So instead I used Google Images. Go there and click on the tiny camera icon located in the search bar. You’ll then be at the Google version of TinEye, which works the same way - you just drag a picture on it and Google will search it out for you. In this case it led me to this site:

celiwin.deviantart.com/

The artist goes by the name “Celiwin” on Deviantart.com, in addition to her real name, Lauren Walsh, which TimothyH found for you. And by the way, that Icon is totally beautiful; I really like it, too.

I also was wondering how it was found so quickly.
Amazing what you can do these days!

Not sure I want to visit a website called deviantart though.

Thank you for that explanation! I was vaguely aware that you could search for images by using images but I had no idea how to do that. As far as the deviant art website all I can offer is that I know that it has sort of a punk rock kind of theme to it. On my road to becoming a Catholic, I was actually a wedding photographer and I was familiar with that site from other photographers posting their work.

Regardless, I think this is a beautiful rendition of a popular icon and I am very please to a found the artist thank you everybody.

I guess she painted a more modern and a bit younger rendition.

This is quite simply—awesome! Thank you!
