you could report this for what ever reason you choose

medical (asma ) , smell , dope deal hang out

when you do make sure you remain out of the picture 👍

What state do you attend college in? Many states have actually decriminalized possession of up to an ounce of marijuana - I know in Massachusetts it’s been decriminalized and if you are caught smoking in public or in possession of marijuana you receive a $100 fine but no other criminal charges.

Consider what state you are living in and if it’s really worth it to report it. Frankly, I don’t really think smoking pot is a very big deal; I think the government should legalize it and tax the heck out of it.

Seriously? Three trial members come and post to a three year old thread on pot!?!?!
I posted on this without noticing the date. It appeared at the top of the Forum in Moral Theology section so I read through it and commented.

I just found this site and joined earlier this month…why does it matter if we are all Trial Members?

Whether marijuana “should” be decriminalized is debatable.

But most everywhere, having, selling, and smoking marijuana
are criminal acts. To obtain the marijuana, you have to participate
in trafficking in the illegal drug, which trafficking is also a criminal act.

Should you report it?
There seems to be a double standard on these forums.
For some nonviolent crimes, some people here advocating reporting
the violator to the authorities, period.
But crime is crime, and trafficking in, and using marijuana, is a crime.
If a welfare queen should be reported for abuse of welfare,
then so should drug users and traffickers, period.

Personally, I wouldn’t report them, unless I knew that they were using the pot
and then getting behind the wheel and driving while “stoned,” thereby endangering
the lives of others on the road. But I wouldn’t USE the stuff with them, either.

Also, if I knew a woman who had until recently been an illegal drug buyer, seller, or user,
but had become a true, repentant Christian since then, I would never rat out her past
violations to the authorities, as I would never DARE get into trouble
somebody whose sins Christ’s blood has been applied to and whom He has obviously
forgiven. I would never dare subject such a God-forgiven and cleansed person to the mercilessness of the “justice” system.

This whole concept of reporting people for their sins, is very complex and complicated.
If you have doubts, sincerely pray about it and let the LORD guide you as to what to do.
Different sins call for different responses. Now, if your college roommates were serial rapists, and you knew it for a fact…
