Oh…Thanks for the information.I may read one or two you have suggested but now a days I rely on the online commentaries and responses which are more advanced and uptodate and gives a chance for a two way communication which facility is missing while you read a book and many times you have to suffer some nonsenses also of the writer without any chance to correct him…As I mentioned thousands of commentaries are now available online(4-5 pages each for a single verse with several cross references for immediate perusal at the tip of your finger )which convenience you miss while reading a book.Only thing is you should be careful not to fall into the traps of vested interest groups.Always give importance to the words and direct meaning of the verses…

Okay, looked up “charagma”. It means something like a design that is engraved or cut or pressed into stuff, or stamped onto stuff.

The Roman imperial seal on official documents (like the libellus) could be called a “charagma,” and was. It was a carved design that was stamped into wax.

Writing could be described that way, poetically. Inscriptions and brands on animals could be described that way, literally. Poetically, a snakebite was called “the serpent’s charagma.” Sorta topical…

St. Paul used a form of “charagma” in Acts 17:29. He was saying that God wasn’t to be considered just a “charagmati” (a graven thing – dative singular noun) made of gold or silver or stone, and made by human skill and imagination.

But basically, the important thing is not the exact way the mark of the Beast might be produced. The important thing is that it is a demonic and pagan mockery of the indelible mark of Baptism, when we are anointed on the forehead and hands with a cross; and of the foreshadowing of Baptism, the cross-shaped tav sheepmark that the angels in Ezekiel were to paint on the foreheads of the faithful remnant who refused to worship pagan gods, and which would keep them from getting killed; and of the original Passover marking of the lintels with the blood of a lamb, which kept that faithful remnant safe.

It’s an anti-cross marking for the anti-Christ, if you would, and that’s the important thing about it.

Luke 18:8 " Yet when the Son of Man comes ,will he find, do you think, faith on the earth ? "
Do you believe that Jesus said this ?

It is important that we have a deelpy vested interest in the Catholic Church and Her teachings.
