Is it possible for two lay people who have made a promise of chastity to God to marry each other and live chastely for life?
Only to be entered into under spiritual direction, and if either party requests the marital debt the other is bound to comply. All Christians (all persons) are to be Chaste. Married or not.
I think you mean “live in continence” where they exchange the right to marital relations but do not then act upon such but “live in continence” in their marriage for the sake of the kingdom.
Yes it is. (but such is on the very rare side vocation wise )
It seems like that depends upon what planning means. The marital consent will be absent if one does not grant the right to moral and licit conjugal relations to the spouse. Not exercising that right does not change the validity. But can you enter the marriage not planning on having sex?

Agreed; if their was never was an intent by both spouses to consummate (have sexual relations) from a procreative aspect before the actual marriage wouldn’t that invalidate the marriage itself? It seems like that depends upon what planning means.
Yes! Joseph and Mary!Is it possible for two lay people who have made a promise of chastity to God to marry each other and live chastely for life?
A Josephite Marriage, the two - under spiritual direction - decide not to consummate the marriage is the name for this situation. The parents of The Little Flower entered such a marriage. But can you enter the marriage not planning on having sex?
Yes of courseOnly to be entered into under spiritual direction, and if either party requests the marital debt the other is bound to comply.
Then how did Little Flower get here?A Josephite Marriage, the two - under spiritual direction - decide not to consummate the marriage is the name for this situation. **The parents of The Little Flower entered such a marriage. **When either spouse requests relations, the other is required to give up the Josephite part of the marriage and render the debt thus entering a regular marriage. The Pastor/Spiritual director may also determine it is time for the couple to begin marital relations (as I’m pretty sure was the case with St Therese’s parents).

Actually no, as long as they do not intend to withhold the reasonable, moral, and licit request for the conjugal act. The object of consent is defined through CIC can. 1061.1 “conjugal act in itself apt for the generation of offspring”. *An unconsummated yet valid marriage may be dissolved. *Agreed; if their was never was an intent by both spouses to consummate (have sexual relations) from a procreative aspect before the actual marriage wouldn’t that invalidate the marriage itself?
Lol I was thinking the same thing. Then how did Little Flower get here?
Substantially all non-monastic Orthodox priests; some churches require marriage before non-monastic ordination, and it is the norm in all.The “religious” are married to the Church and together they raise children of all ages. …no intercourse allowed. …except for Deacons who were already married… and some Orthodox orders.![]()
