Hello everyone. I’m sure many of you have seen/read similar questions and I apologize for that.
I recently became engaged and I am Roman Catholic. My fiancee was baptized roman catholic, but her mother joined a different Christian denomination so she therefore was refused under a different denomination. I believe she may have been baptized again as a little girl. Though she was raised Christian, she currently does not follow a specific denomination. She has gone with me several times to catholic churches over the years, including the Vatican. So since she is not really tied to a denomination, she is open to marry at a catholic church because I would like to be married in a catholic church.
Now, from my understanding, since I am catholic, and she was baptized, we would be able to be married by a catholic priest in a catholic church if I seek permission, no?
Also, would we be able to be married in a local melkite catholic church, even hough Iam roman catholic and she is a baptized christian?
Any help, knowledge, or info is greatly appreciated. Thank you much!
