I don’t have ‘gender identity issues’, I know that I am a woman. Why should I refrain from marrying?
But, from the sounds of it, you are physically a man.

Sounds like confusion and gender identity issues to me. I don’t think self mutilation is the answer to solve your problem.

Therefore, it’s an impediment to marriage.

Would you marry a man or a woman?

And; as an aside; what country do you live in; that prohibits such marraiges?

🤷

Male/male and female/female couples are also found everywhere, your point?
If the Male/male and female/female couples were the same there would be no issue, no issue at all. That is why the Male/male and female/female think they need the government, which of course makes no sense, Male/male and female/female will be no more a couple if government moves in the bedroom with them than they are now.

First of all, it doesn’t matter what I am physically since I am biologically female. I’m not confused, I know that I am biologically female. I have never self mutilated. Also, how would it be an impediment to marriage?

I don’t know who I would marry, I’m only an 18-year-old girl. I don’t think about whether I want to marry a man or a woman, I just know I want to marry the one I love and adopt children someday. I don’t know who I love yet. I live in the United States.

Can you please address why your “marriage” is not real unless the government is involved?

What definition of Biology are you using? - out of interest.

All the definitions I have heard of tend to categorise people with only men’s body parts (and Chromosome) as male.

I can only see two scenarios of marraige;

a) You marrying a man. This would be a homosexual marraige.

b) You marrying a woman; I would presume this would have some complications; however I am certain it could be worked out as a Sacramental marraige within the Church.

Female/female, female/male, male/male, all of these couples have always existed and always will. Also, I don’t get why so many who are opposed to the government telling them what to do in their bedroom support the government telling other people what to do in their bedroom.

I never said it wouldn’t be real. Please don’t put marriage in quotations, any marriage I had would be just as legitimate as any marriage you had. “Normal” married couples get government benefits, if I pay taxes and am married I should get the same benefits as any other married couple.

I think you are probably right but they are not the same, not even close

Again the male/female group differ in that they are 100% indifferent to government. So why are male/male and female/female couples government dependent?

Why are male/female couples government dependent? I don’t care about the government, I could care less, but I thought the United States was founded on the basis of equal human rights.

And that is why all gay “marriage” efforts have failed in the US. They are not “marriages” and when reviewed you find marriages do not get “benefits” what they get is partial restitution and that is not really a benefit. Once one reviews that they see the negative aspects of calling male/male couples “married”

Biological sex is defined by more than just genitalia and chromosomes. If I married a man, that would not be supported by the Church. If I married a woman, that would not be supported by the church. It doesn’t matter what type of marriage you or I call it.

Why are male/female couples government dependent? .
They are not. These couple exist whether there is or is not a government. They exist whether the government is helpful or hurtful to them. That is why the are completely indifferent to government .
I don’t care about the government, I could care less, but I thought the United States was founded on the basis of equal human rights.
If you didn’t care about government there would be no post, no reason to post.

Two men cannot love each other as much as a man and a woman? Do you really believe that? There are about a thousand legal homosexual marriages in the United States and none of them have failed. Showing that married couples get partial restitution does not show any negative aspects of calling a male/male couple married. However, married couples also get tax benefits from filing their taxes jointly, married couples can get joint insurance plans, etc, etc…

They get benefits because male/female relationships have the possibility of producing children, which is a benefit to society as a whole. Studies have shown that children do the best in situations where both male and female parents are present.

You say it is defined by more than genetalia and chromosomes; then what is the definition of biology?

Is it to do with what we “identify” with ourselves; then what is to stop us “identifying” with animals or objects per se? What we “think” we are does not make us “what” we are.

Now; if you are physically a man; you can marry a woman in the Church. You can also have a civil marraige. Of course; your situation does pose complications with regards to your spouse; but if she willingly want’s to marry you then that should be fine.

But you have an impediment to marriage. You are transgendered. You are born male, but think you are female. Do you see why the Church may not want to marry you?

MariaTS has the right to marry a woman in the Church.

However, prudence may dictate that it may not be a good idea.
