The problem is that she is the Holy Catholic Church and is endlessly attacked from all sides…
The problem here is that you cut my post apart and made it look like I am cheering about your church’s problems.

As such:
What I assert is that the western church has a systemic problem, . 👍
I never would have put a thumb-up after a statement like that, and you had to go through a lot of deliberate trouble to make it look as though I did.

This is as underhanded and dirty a trick as any I have seen on this forum. Very sophomoric. If you want to engage in character assasination you could do no better than engage in these subtle lies.

Your handle could be Pseudo-Isadorean, you have his spirit.

I did not go through a lot of deliberate trouble because that was a mistake, an accident. I am sorry about that thumbs up. I am sorry and I hope you forgive me. I did not mean to do that. You don’t have to believe me but that is the truth. If I could delete the thumbs ups, I would do it right now.

I see.

I accept your explanation and see you in a whole new light 🙂 .

I am full of regret now, over my reaction to you. I hope you can forgive me.

Michael, that sinner

In honor of the anniversary of the day when Martin Luther posted his 95 thesis on the cathedral door of Wittenburg, I want to bring up his 82nd thesis in particular.

Why does not the pope liberate everyone from purgatory for the sake of love (a most holy thing) and because of the supreme necessity of their souls? This would be morally the best of all reasons. Meanwhile he redeems innumerable souls for money, a most perishable thing, with which to build St. Peter’s church, a very minor purpose.
Excuse me, but not lets go into the subjects of money. When someone needs help, believe you me it’s the Catholic churches that people ask help from. We also own one third of the hospitals in this country, not to mention all the ministies we do overseas and here. Where does all your money go? That is what divided the Church in the first place. It is shame that people don’t realize that when the Church was divided, Christ was divided.
