It is possible they are from Mass prayers (eg. Opening prayer, Prayer after Communion,).Do you understand yet? The above is not part of Mass but some type of personal devotion (not required to believe or pray). AS for the Hundreds upon hundreds more I would have to say if they are from the same book are not part of the MASS which we have to participate in on all days of obligation. ie. Sunday or Saturday
I don’t have the latest edition of the Missal, but as an example, the Opening Prayer for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in my older missal reads:
"Father you prepare the Virgin Mary to be the worthy mother of your Son. … Help us by her prayers to live in your presence without sin. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives…and the Holy Spirit…
(The prayer of course is to the Father, not to Mary.)
The prayers usually open addressing the First Person of the Trinity (Father/God/Lord), and close referring to either one or both of the other 2 Persons of the Trinity.
