Mary and the Deposit of Faith

So I have been trying to find a source that actually lists what is in the Deposit of Faith (not item by item, but resources, like the Bible).

Scripture - no problem, clearly listed

Sacred Tradition - what is that? Seems to depend on what you read??

Teaching of Magisterium - what is that??? Where do you find it??

So my two questions are:

1. What is in the Deposit of Faith besides Scripture, and where can you find it?
2. Is any Marian doctrine part of the Deposit of Faith?

This is how the Glossary of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) defines “Deposit of Faith”:

Deposit of Faith: The heritage of faith contained in Sacred Scripture and Tradition, handed on in the Church from the time of the Apostles, from which the Magisterium draws all that it proposes for belief as being divinely revealed.

Where can you find it? The short answer is the Catechism of the Catholic Church. That’s what it’s there for. That’s why the papal document wherein Pope John Paul II promulgated the Catechism is literally called “Deposit of Faith” (AKA “Fidei Depositum”).

Is any Marian doctrine part of the Deposit of Faith? Yes. See the sections in the CCC on Mary, particularly CCC 487–511 and CCC 964–975.

^ This. Get a catechism, or a Compendium of the Catechism. Fr. John Hardon, SJ (†) wrote an excellent Q&A format catechism entitled The Faith which is very helpful in regard to typical inquiries. It contains the essential teachings with references. If you need more detail, the full catechism might be better. You can find both more affordably at ThriftBooks or other outlets.
