It’s clearly fake. Why are all the videos with HORRIBLE quality cell phones.

Wouldn’t someone expecting this bring a decent or even below average camera.

It’s just silliness. . . .

Just like ALL the ghost videos- ALL the demon videos- ALL of the UFO videos and ALL of the big foot videos.

It’s incredible and beautiful. Here’s an article about it, describing what the eyewitnesses said they saw, the number of witnesses (200,000), and showing some images of the sights.

While I agree with the former poster that the cell phones are poor quality, a lot can still be plainly seen. The great numbers of people, for instance, who were seeing clearly with their own eyes and were amazed. And one can see distinctly a robed person with a halo over her head, shining with light, and a magnificent cross that is hovering in midair and according to the article wasn’t originally part of the church building.

There were also phenomenon of luminous pidgeons and a brilliant star.

What I’m wondering about is the timing and purpose. Why did she do this in Warraq, and why now? I would certainly like to know.

The church has an illuminated cross on the top of each dome and atop each tower. Interesting that these “apparitions” disappear whenever the State Police cut off the power. What’s your evidence for saying the central cross is a natural part of the building structure? I already showed an article that said it isn’t, that that cross just materialized.

The video doesn’t show the power go off. It shows the apparitions disappear, whether because they returned to Heaven or because the “lights went off,” there’s no distinction. It’s just your interpretation that says someone turned the power off. Did you expect the apparitions to stick around forever?

I watched that disappearance several times and it didn’t come across to me as a bulb. It looked to me like they’d all raced up into Heaven, which is why they flashed into a single point of light and then vanished.

The cross I was referring to was not one of the ones on the domes. There’s an arch at Warraq with a door in it, and two big towers on either side. The cross that I thought materialized was over the arch, not on any of the towers or domes. It’s in one of the videos in the link I provided.

Okay, watched the videos. I admit, I am not sure what I am looking at. I see light…but I am not sure what distinguishes it to look like Mary. I don’t see any “human” features just light. Does it look different in person and the essense of a person is just not being captured on film?

The footage is taken with cell phones because that’s all people have. The “apparitions” come and go, so it’s hard to be prepared I’m sure. It’s also in a very poor neighborhood, so I doubt there are many quality camcorders in the area. Frankly, I’m suprised so many people were able to get footage with cell phones at all.

I"ve seen the video where the apparition disappears, (mentioned above, at 4:30) and you can see what looks to be the red glow from a very large lightbulb or projector light being shut off. It looks like its placed in a tower further back on the church behind the “apparition.” I’m suprised more people don’t see this.

However, that doesn’t explain stars or doves, but I haven’t seen any footage of stars or doves either. Eye witness information can be inaccurate.

I would never want to doubt our lady if this is a real apprearance. At the same time, the red glow of the hot “lightbulb” in the backgroud is very telling for me. You can do AMAZING things with holograms these days. If this is indeed a trick, it is a very sad thing for a church, or even a prankster, to do to so many suceptible people.

I don’t want to rush to judgement either way. If this is real, its incredible. If its not real, there is evil afoot.

their are many people their and I am sure it would come out if it were a fake this is most likely real and until their is 100% evidence that it isnt their is no reason not to believe it. Their is many very small christian populations all over the world and those are the places where its most likely miracles will take place since those are the people how truly have faith and those are the people who truly are persucated. the problem is even though some people see a miracle with their own eyes whether in real life or computer they still dont want to believe.

I found this post from a Catholic engineer on a Medjugorje site. Another engineer on the same site approves his points shortly after.

This discusses the small orange glow in which the Lady disappears, which some have suggested was a lightbulb, while others think it was her flashing into heaven and the ball of light was her departing.

When I looked at the orange remnant, I first thought that this must be a
lamp that turns off. It even looks like there is a shadow of a tower there.
However when I looked at the first frames, I saw that the camera is
relatively close to the building.
If we then project the supposed tower, we will see that if the tower is 60
yards (very close) behind the church, then we need an aproximately
80 yard high tower.
I don’t think there is an 80 yard tower close to this church. Correct me
if possible. It would be the first thing to check, but if you look at the angle
in the first frames you see that the tower needs to be very high.
If the tower would be further away from the church then 60 yards then
we need impossible towers, or light sources hundreds of yards or maybe
miles in the sky.

The apparition looks very similar to the Zeitoun apparition and I think it
is very difficult to reproduce as it appears on the video.
Imagine this was a natural random phenomenon. Then why would it only
reproduce on Coptic churches?
Me as an engineer would say that this optical illusion is extremely difficult
to reproduce without using a smokescreen if you want to project it.
I did not see smoke anywhere.
No lasers used, the light is white and there are no white lasers.
If you want to make a ball of ionized plasma, I would say, there is no
way anybody could have done that 40 years ago. Let alone on top of a
church. Also today I would say impossible, and it would need to light up
the domes.
Imagine that somebody faked this 41 years ago in Zeitoun.
This person must be somebody with much experience.
So I assume he needed to be at least 35 years old at that time and
religious inspired and knowledgeable and extremely rich to buy highly
expensive tools.
During wartime in Egypt?
Then he needs to hide his secret for 40 years and now at the age of 75
he is reproducing his trick again.

No way. So that is why I assume that the Lady made Her orange point or
was it a blink of the eye?
