A thought occurred to me…
When the scriptures say Christ is the only one without sin the meaning is in regards to His Divine nature which is perfectly pure and spotless as the SOURCE of sinlessness. That is why they say He is the only one without sin. Others can be without sin but can never be the source of their own holiness.

So Mary can be sinless because her nature was completly resigned to God and His word: “I am the servant of the Lord, be it done unto me according to His word.” Thus she is the opposite of Satan who originated sin by grasping at the nature of God and claiming it as his own. Mary remains sinless by remaining dependent on God.

Thus Christ is the only one who is without sin because sin is outside of God, Mary is without sin by grace, surrender and humble dependance on God. Thus the words in the scriptures
do not negate or contradict the belief in Mary’s sinlessness.

God Bless, maryjohnz
Mary was without sin because God created her that way, just like he created Adam and Eve without sin. Only Mary was created in her mother’ womb. Thus the Immaculate Conception. Mary didn’t choose to be created free of sin, God chose that for her, but she did choose to remain free of ALL sin. And we can read in the Bible that Mary was perfectly willing to accept God’s Will in her life. “Let it be done unto me according to THY will.” Please lets give some credit to this young Virgin in her role in our salvation. I just can’t begin to understand what protestants have against Our Blessed Mother. What has she ever done to turn them against her soooo.
It’s just their hatred for the Catholic Church that drives them on!. What are they afraid of ?? Are they afraid of the TRUTH!!! Jesus said, "The Truth Will Set You Free!!! " Wouldn’t they like to be free of all this bashing and name calling. do they think this is what their Savior would want, I don’t think soooo. He prayed that All would be ONE in HIM, One Faith, One Baptism, ONE Church. Thats what we should ALL be praying for. Church History and reg. History will prove that the Catholic Church is that ONE TRUE Church. Do some research for yourself, read the Early Church Fathers. Look up when your denomination was started and by whom. I doubt that Martin Luther, (who started this whole protestant revolt) would even recognize today’s protestantism. Luther had a great devotion to the Blessed Mother.

Watch “Journey Home” on Monday nights, 7PM, CST, on EWTN Catholic Cable Network and hear the stories of many who have discovered the TRUTH about the Catholic Faith. You will be surprised how many are former ministers. Aren’t you just a little bit curious. A search for the TRUTH is a wise search, Jesus said I AM the Way, the TRUTH and the Life. Follow ME. God Bless.

Agreed! 👍
Although becareful of the quote you use for Mary because she did say “according to your word” when speaking to the angel…But she understood the Angel was bearing God’s Word to her…and what Protestant’s miss is that Mary bore the “Word Incarnate” to all of us.

Also God allowed an angel to speak to her at this Annunciation scene because we can see the scene at the cross as a second Annunciation when Christ speaks to her and says “Woman, behold your son” and she is given a universal Motherhood by Christ, Himself. St. Louis de Montefort points out that Protestants like to say they go to Christ directly as the only Mediator without realizing that Christ is God just as much as the Father and the Holy Spirit, so God gave us Mary and in her we have a human intercessor (spiritual mother) who is above us and yet not God as Christ is…thus she is a ‘mediatrix’. She has the right of Motherhood to intercede with Christ, a right given to her by God himself.

I agree we need to pray for Church unity and I think this title “Mediatrix of All Graces” may be the key to the floodgate of graces needed to bring that about.

Mary, herself, gives all credit to God in her humility for Mary, in her humilty, says “God has done great things for me”.

I do not mean in anyway to imply that she had it easy. Simeon in the temple proclaimed to Mary ‘your heart, too, will be pierced’. (Lk1) Thus the bible itself witnesses Mary’s union to Christ’s suffering.

She is the 'Mediatrix of All Graces"

This brother in Christ remembers you all in prayer as a whole, praying for the whole body of Christ…

With Love in Christ,

God Bless you all!

Protestants have nothing against Miriam.

Are you listening to yourself? This is worship language. I know about the whole hyper dulia vs. latria thing, and it’s a fudge factor and a sham, to let people get away with idolatry while keeping them in the fold. The whole idea of “turning against her” assumes that she is someone we should be turned toward. I only turn toward God.

I treat Miriam like any other hero of faith: she’s not my mother, just my elder sister. Co-Redemptrix, indeed! There is only one mediator, one redeemer–Christ.

Stop all this worship of a mere mortal! Good bye.

Halo,

Peace to all.

Just pray that the CHURCH someday be One (Mt.16:18…I will build my church - not many) in worship, leadership & doctrine because Holy as Christ her founder, is holy and comprises His Mystical Body, Universal in scope for all people, cultures, & climes for all time, Apostolic shepherded by Christ’ anointed visible shepherd with authority handed on from the Apostles to the bishops(episkopos)throughout the ages.

“Jesus bless you & Mama Mary love you.”

Sheep is greater than its shepherd?

Stop insulting and blapheming against our Mother
One more thing: Hail (chairoo) doesn’t mean addressing royalty, otherwise Jesus would be bowing down to Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome, in Matthew 28:9;
or James and Peter would be bowing down to fellow brethren in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia in Acts 15:23.
James would be worshipping all the Israelites (James 1:1).
2 John 1:10 and 2 John 1:11 imply that we are to chairoo our brethren.

different forms of the same verb, the form used to address Mary is only used again to address Jesus.

Spoken like a true protestant that doesn’t know a thing about the Catholic faith and to closed minded to listen. What about when Mary said, "From henceforth, All generations shall call me Blessed."Thats in the bible too, (Luke 1-48) doesn’t that mean anything to you or do you just pick and choose what you want to believe. Are YOU listening to YOURSELF??? Sounds hollow to me. This is a Catholic Forum I might remind you, if all you want to do is bash, what are you doing here anyway!!!

Cardinals Hoping for a 5th Marian Dogma

To Declare Mary as Mother of Humanity

ROME, FEB. 11, 2008 (Zenit.org).- Five cardinals have sent a letter inviting prelates worldwide to join them in petitioning Benedict XVI to declare a fifth Marian dogma they said would “proclaim the full Christian truth about Mary.”

The text, released last week, includes the petition that asks the Pope to proclaim Mary as “the Spiritual Mother of All Humanity, the co-redemptrix with Jesus the redeemer, mediatrix of all graces with Jesus the one mediator, and advocate with Jesus Christ on behalf of the human race.”

The signatories of the letter are five of the six cardinal co-sponsors of the 2005 International Symposium on Marian Coredemption, held in Fatima: Cardinal Telesphore Toppo, archbishop of Ranchi, India; Cardinal Luis Aponte Martínez, retired archbishop of San Juan, Puerto Rico; Cardinal Varkey Vithayathil, major archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly, India; Cardinal Riccardo Vidal, archbishop of Cebu, Philippines; and Cardinal Ernesto Corripio y Ahumada, retired archbishop of Mexico City. I read that this morning, Is this the Holy Spirit in action? We will just have to wait and see. I can hardly wait, although I already believe it.

If Mary was good enough to be the Mother of God’s own son, Jesus, why is she not good enough to be your Mother or the Mother of any of Jesus’ folowers? You don’t sound like a follower of Christ. The fact that Jesus chose Mary to be His Mother is good enough reason for any of us to feel blessed to say she is our Mother as well! This is true imitation of Christ…following Him even in the choice of His Mother.

God Bless, maryJohnZ

Everyone should read and “study” Luke 1 45-55. She gives GOD credit for everything, we should have such humility…

yes, Luke’s gospel is wonderful. And truly reveals Mary as unique
in God’s plan.

St. Luke is credited with painting the picture of 'Our Lady of Perpetual help". In it we see Mary holding Christ and the sandal is falling from one of His feet. Two angels in the corners hold symbols of His future passion. The story behind the picture is that Christ as a toddler had a vision of His future passion and ran to His mother for comfort. As he ran he fell, thus the fallen sandal. Some say the loosed sandal represents fallen away Catholics whom Mary still prays for.
It reminds me of when John the Baptist said he was not worthy to tie Christ’s sandal, think how many times Mary did just that! Christ made her worthy so she could fulfill this role.

Anytime we honor Mary she passes the honor on to Christ anyway. As you say she always said God did these things for her.

You bet, Hail is a greeting, kinda like our Hello. but its the FULL OF GRACE that oughta getcha. That means she was FULL of GRACE, Thus the Immaculate Conception…
Angel’s don’t lie. Get it!!!

What would this title do that adds clarity to the truth about Jesus?

It adds clarity to the truth about Mary. She couldn’t be Full of Grace unless she was free of ALL sin. God created her that way and she, of her own free will, remained that way. Where Eve said NO to God, Mary said YES. She is called the Second Eve. Jesus calls her Woman, which means Mother of ALL. God called her Woman in the Garden right after the Fall of Adam and Eve. God said it, I believe it and that settles it! ( I had a magnet for my refrigerator that said that)
