Sister “Amy.” 🙂

I am not denying that the miracles (signs) of Jesus are a big deal–they are. Jesus was special. So was Moses. And many other messengers were special in their own way. Muhammad is special too, because he is the last Messenger, and because he was given the Qur’an and sent to all of mankind.
Sorry about the name. Mary talk had my mind on a one track.

Ok. Now you have given me an answer. In the Koran, did Muhammid ask God why Jesus was born of a virgin? Did God explain it to him?

AgnosTheist;3369233:
that has been extremely rare. and practically impossible if the woman is second, third or 4th wife. for anything but the first is cheap.
What do you mean by this?
Why? Who cares? I am a woman and don’t care if it is a man or a woman. I am also not going to vote for this woman who is currently running for president because I find her as disgusting as I found Bhuto.

Oh, and as for Pakistan being morally superior. Look how they treated her? It was a rather disgusting display - no security for her even with death threats.

Anyway, I don’t want to discuss Pakistan and compare their crud hole with the USA.

Well, you can just fall back on your koran that says women are 1/2 of a man, and have 1/2 the rights of a man. They are to be ruled by men and if they don’t give up themselves to their ‘men’ then they are to be beaten. If the women gets raped and have no witnesses then they get stoned or hanged. (gee, like a guy is going to raise his hand or bring witnesses to his rapes so then he can get stoned or hanged! NOT)
This is so silly. If a woman is raped, her testimony ALONE is enough to condemn her attacker her to death. The woman is NEVER to be punished for being raped in Islam. Moreover, the Qur’an doesn’t say either that women have half rights of a man or are half of a man.
Read the chapter called ‘woman’ in the koran and anyone who wonders how women are treated in islam - you won’t have to wonder anymore.
One of my favorites, guaranteeing rights between spouses.
Then there is ‘honor killings’. The muslim males throw acid, set them on fire, carve them up, beat them, kill them and do whatever they want to a woman - and don’t have to pay for this crime because all they have to say is that it was an ‘honor killing’.
Let me be perfectly clear.

HONOR KILLINGS ARE NOT PART OF ISLAM.

I am sure I am joined by all sensible Muslim men and women to CONDEMN honor killings in the strongest terms.
You worry about Eve when you have bigger problems in your ‘religion’.
Women are historically the most oppressed people on the planet. It only makes sense that a religion from God would protect them. Islam does EXACTLY that.

The only ones who say mohammed was a prophet was himself and his gang of thugs, oh er I mean followers.

The koran is special in that it can give us what a muslim’s tactics are against us. It is all there. Even Thomas Jefferson figured it out during his time and the time of the barbary pirates - who he found out were muslims in a jihad.

I wish we were all more like Jefferson and would pick up the koran to read it to find out about those who want us dead. Usually they call those kinds of people, our enemy. I will leave it at that.

Sister Amy,

Are these verses in the Koran? Are they for me? If so, let me know and I’ll read them.

Thanks
Ralphinal, be careful - those verses have been abrogated (replaced) by the newer violent verses. And the koran is a jumble - the newer, violent, surahs are entertwined within the older surahs.

What she is giving you are things that are misleading. They are from the Meccan time period - except for the chapter called, woman, which is still pretty much still practiced.

The Qur’an is a book of signs. God revealed each sign (verse) to Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel. It is not a story about Muhammad, but only what Muhammad is told.

We see the answer you’re looking for when Mary asks Gabriel not WHY but HOW she can have a son while she is a virgin. The answer is He said: “So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us’:It is a matter (so) decreed.” 19:21

That’s kind of funny… :rotfl:

The United States has yet to elect a woman as president so the fact that PAKISTAN of all places is leading the USA ought to be somewhat embarassing.

Why are you insulting 2nd/3rd/4th wives? What do you mean “anything but the first is cheap?”
And she was assassinated, which is the Islamic way of getting rid of opponents!

That is the Islamic way? Really? What is your proof of that from Islamic teachings?

This is really funny!

Muslim Vol. 1, #462

Abu Huraira reported: The Apostle of Allah said, “When any of you awakes from sleep and performs ablution, he must clean his nose three times, for the devil spends the night in the interior of his nose”.

Amy & Vickie, can we get back to the topic now? Things about Mary.

Amy, does the quran say jesus would rule?

But Genesis apparently says my purpose in life is to keep man company. The Qur’an teaches that man and woman were created from a single soul–neither is better than the other.
Every person has his or her own soul! This is more proof that the Quran is manmade!

Since when have you cared so much about keeping a thread on topic? 😃

I think she posted some verses for you to look up earlier.

oh only at those times when my on-topic questions dont get answered. how selfish of me.

i looked them up each one. using this trusty quran search engine:

usc.edu/dept/MSA/reference/searchquran.html

its all about resurrection & the return of jesus. nothing about rulership.

Honestly I still dont know where Muslims got the idea that jesus will rule. Amy, help me out here! 🙂

Amy, does the Quran say Jesus will rule the earth?
AT, Moslems rarely answer direct questions. I am not sure of your reasons but the Koran does not say, but hadith gives and impression.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said "How will you be when the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you and he will judge people by the Law of the Quran and not by the law of Gospel (Fateh-ul Bari page 304 and 305 Vol 7) (Book #55, Hadith #658) Bukhari

pure curiosity. i’d like to hear it from a muslim. especially from one such as Amy who thinks everything in Islam is in the Quran.

judges are not automatically rulers.I’d like to see a verse which actually says that jesus will rule.
