I have a Muslim friend who seems to think differently.Do you have the ability to see my heart? And look into the past and see what my heart used to look like? Unless you do, it’s not your place to make a judgment on my heart.
You said “Correct me if I’m wrong” so I’m correcting you. The answer is no–and people leave Islam all the time. The Qur’an says, as I’m sure you’ve heard, that there is no compulsion in religion. The only way that a penalty can ever be applied for apostasy is in the case of an Islamic state, with an Islamic leadership, where the apostasy rather than a mere change of beliefs is actually an act of treason. It does not apply at all in this day and age, not anywhere in the world. So no.
I stay a Muslim out of my love for God, not out of fear of death.![]()
She plays internet poker, and good at it apparently, I said she should play for money, she said she coulden’t per her religion, I said fine, I’ll Baptise you, you play poker then convert back, she laughed and said “sure, as long as I’m back[from las Vegas] in three days” She seemed to be under the impression that a Muslim could be killed after three days for converting from Islam, now this may well be an state thing however she gave no indication that this was the case.
