For some reason, he wouldn’t want to sign-upWhy don’t you get your friend to sign up on here so we can talk with them directly? We can’t know exactly what they’re asking otherwise.

Mary is “full of grace.” Also, she is the Ark of the New Covenant. Furthermore, she is the New Eve and is referred to in Genesis 3:15 where enmity is put between her and Satan. Enmity means total separation. This can only be achieved by her sinlessness. Also note that it is not her doing. God says, “I will put enmity…” Hope that helps somewhat. Furthermore, the Church Fathers of both East and West all agree on this as well as the original “reformers.”
the part i highlighted shows that your friend thinks mary is God. or she is trying to get you to say that mary is god…or your friend thinks catholics think mary is god…My friend says that if Mary is sinless, there is no need for Jesus to come to earth. **God would have her as a sacrifice instead of Jesus. **
We need to say illustrate about the concept of original sin. Most of the doctrines like Ark of the Covenant are too strange.
Yes, the first thing that I did was to refute the idea that she is God. And that we honour and respect her. Even though I had given good reasoning of all the WHYs, he would revert back saying “We shouldn’t even honour or respect her”. Back then, I got really offened by that. We got to pray for those hard-heartened.the part i highlighted shows that your friend thinks mary is God. or she is trying to get you to say that mary is god…or your friend thinks catholics think mary is god…
mary is what adam and eve were before the fall…sinless.
mary had what adam and eve had before the fall…grace…
mary is full of grace
adam and eve lost this grace when they ate of the tree of knowledge of good and bad judgement.
mary is full of grace
mary was born full of grace
mary was conceived full of grace
just as adam and eve were.
mary is the greatest human that ever lived.
she is the holiest person who ever lived because she was born full of grace…she never sinned…yet many in the bible who are considered holy did sin…adam, moses, david, jacob, israel.
mary is the only one who never sinned.
because she was born without the sin that adam and eve passed onto the rest of humanity.
but just because she is sinless does not make her god anymore than adam and eve, who also are not god. however adam and eve wanted to be like god…and they failed and became sinners.mary never tried to be like god…in fact she called him her savior…for she is as human as adam and eve were before the fall. she does not think she is god, for she refers to god as her savior yet she was born without sin. …just as adam and eve were
jesus is sinless…ask them how that came to be?
tell them they must honor and respect her…just as we must honor and respect each other…our parents, our children, our spouses, our neighbors, our bosses.Yes, the first thing that I did was to refute the idea that she is God. And that we honour and respect her. Even though I had given good reasoning of all the WHYs, he would revert back saying “We shouldn’t even honour or respect her”. If you want to share the catholic faith with superficial sound bites, it’ll never work. If you really want scriptural evidence for devotion to Mary you need to get off the surface and dive deep into the scripture. You might catch some fish. Luke 5:4Well guys sorry for prolonging the thread. I am expecting myself to sit down with him some day and talk about this. I need to give him the answer. Atleast, I need to learn the faith to better defend it in the future. For this topic, what would you recommend me to research, as you know they have that 'Where is it in the bible?" argument. I really want to discover some real things from the Scripture.
