On Sunday, the 20th, an outdoor statue of the Virgin at a Viatnamese church in Sacramento began shedding tears of what seems to be blood. The diocese is going to investigate and find out if it is a miracle or a hoax. How powerful a sign if it is real!!

Here is a link to the story, with a video: local6.com/news/5384049/detail.html

What do you think?

Blessings,

Kyle

Let’s wait and see what the people there have to say, especially the diocese.

I agree. Lets wait and see what the investigators at the Diocese level have to say… everything else is speculation.

Warmest regards,

I agree.

Btw, I just wanted to say congrats on becoming Catholic…I’m entering the Church this Sunday:o) I’ve noticed a lot of your posts the last few weeks and thought it was pretty cool to see someone else being baptized around the same time.

I hope that it is not proven to be a hoax. Not that I need a miracle in my back yard, but our dear church has suffered too much discredit in the media lately.

My kid wants to go see it, I will accomodate him (17), anything that sparks a teen-ager’s interest in Mary is alright with me.

The miracle which occurs upon the altar is enough for me.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Neat, let us know what you think, I for one am curious.

A couple of weeks ago, there was news about Mary crying tears in Vietnam. Now, this news about Mary crying blood also occur at the Vietnamese parish. Both concerns Vietnam. If they’re authentic, wonder if there’s anything to do with Vietnam or its people.

Maybe Vietnam has found a special place in Mary, the Mother of God.

Pope Creates New Diocese in Vietnam

VATICAN CITY – The Vatican said Tuesday that Pope Benedict XVI has created a new diocese in Vietnam and named its first bishop in another sign of the growing clout of the Catholic population in the country.

Benedict created the diocese of Ba Ria, in the province of the same name, by dividing up the existing diocese of Xuan Loc, the Vatican said. He named Monsignor Thomas Nguen Van Tram as bishop of Ba Ria.

While predominantly Buddhist, Vietnam has an estimated 6 million Catholics, the second-highest number in Southeast Asia after the Philippines.

Xuan Loc had nearly 1 million Catholics in 262 parishes before the division, the Vatican said.

The announcement of the new diocese came a day after Catholic Church officials in Vietnam said they planned to ordain 57 priests later this month – the largest number of clergy to be added to the communist country in a single ceremony.

Sorry i cannot write English, i think nobody understand what i talk hihihihihihii

I am not voting because my opinion would be valueless, it is the bishop’s judgement which matters, so I will wait for it.

we understand perfectly, and it would quite in line with former apparitions for Mary to make herself known to her devout Vietnamese people who have suffered so greatly for the sake of her son, and for her to weep for their sufferings and in gratitude for their devotion to her son. Since we cannot know all the facts, only the bishop can investigate fully, I will be content to wait for his judgment.

Vietnam, South Korea, I have envy of the asian catholic faith, it´s bigger than us.

.

I’m going to go take a look too, it’s only about an hour away. Some from our diocese and the SF diocese have gone and think it’s believable.

Well, if it’s authentic you can expect the ACLU to be there with a moving crew at any minute! …they’ll say that the sidewalk people are standing on to view the statue is federal property or something along those lines.

I didn’t vote either. It’s for the Church to decide and they have very good reason to be very careful. On the other hand, I’d be wary about the “experts” the media will no doubt trot out shortly (including some priests) to explain it away. Who’s the bishop of that diocese btw?

My 1st post! Glad it has to do with Mary. Congradulations to all those about to join the Church! I’m a revert so I know a little bit about how you must feel.

If it is authentic, Mary is trying to get someone’s attention in a very bold way. She is very upset about something or what someone is doing and she need to give them a wake up call.

We must pray!

The Sacramento Bee reported today that the Diocese has no plan for investigating at this. I have to applaud the spokesman’s quote of “The Catholic Church thinks in terms of centuries, not tomorrow’s headlines”.

Sorry for not posting the article, but I can only access the hardcopy. Try www.sacbee.com

I was there on Saturday. The pictures don’t do her justice…

Anyone else from Sacramento?
