And who are the “Cambodian Missionaries” and who was their recently canonized founder? I can’t even find a reference to a patron saint designated for Khmer.

It’s the Camboni Missionaries. You can look them up on the internet. St. Camboni was a misionary who did his work helping the hungry in Africa. I don’t know about the order as a whole but My uncle is a Camboni priest and regularly says at family parties that you don’t need to go to church on Sundays and many things like that. It makes my blood boil but i always do my best to calmly remind him of the importance of weekly mass when he says this in front of my family.
