I haven’t made it through all of the Mass at the cathedral. Thank goodnss for EWTN’s webpage!
 
Can anyone direct me to a listing of the music they used today?

I tried to Google it, but I just got Harry Connick Jr.

(also, the music for the Vespers service?)
 
Gosh, it’s good to be Catholic. It really reinforces that awesome feeling when I have the opportunity to see the Pope in my country.
 
Beautiful Liturgy, excellent homily. I had a lot of admiration for Pope Benedict before this visit to the United States but after being glued to the TV this week watching all the coverage and listening to/reading all the texts of his speeches, I have come to have even more love and respect for him. How blessed are we to have such a loving and wise pastor! The pope celebrates the Mass with such reverence and attention to detail.

btw, does anyone know the other priest that sits to the Pope’s right who also serves as co-master of ceremonies to Fr. Marini during liturgies?

Cant find the words to do it justice so I will just say it couldnt have been more beautiful!
 
He is the one who has the final say about it! The secretary of the the congregation for Divine Worship has just indicated that the Church should reconsider it.

It is not safe for our Lord. Do we believe that every particle visible to the naked eye is our Lord? Then why would we wish to allow Him to be trampled upon? I just don’t understand the indifference of so many in authority and among the lay. So we love Jesus? Then let us do so in deed, by caring for His body!
 
I only saw it recorded live after the mass was actually over. here at the bottom of the world. but it was magnificent. you got that warm fuzzy just watching him. and the homily was amazing. everyone wanted to kiss the ring did you see the gaurds had to hold them back because after one got away with it they all wanted a try even on the fly as the pope was walking. it must be incredible to be in the Pope’s presence like that. wow. it was quite grand. the pope will b e comming here in july. I think it looks like I will miss that also. but who am I to share space with the pope. at least we get to see him on tv. we got a better view then some who were there.

On fox news, while they they were preparing the gifts, Shepherd Smith was bringing up the sex abuse scandal. What an innapropriate thing to do. Father Morris should have told him that it wasnt the time and place. But Fox news had the overall best coverage.
 
I’m confused about the Lamb of God its suppose to be “Agnus Dei from Missa O Magnum Mysterium” but I though I heard an english one with troupes added [which your not suppose to do] :confused:
