I’m fairly new to going to mass, I’ve just joined RCIA and I love, love, love it. I’ve been going to mass since the beginning of September every week and I’ve noticed the last couple of weeks the mass is missing parts.
After the priest greets us, there was no Penitential Act, Kyrie or Gloria. The collect was done and then it went to the readings, gospel and homily. There was no creed recited - Nicene or Apostle’s, went straight to the prayers of the faithful and then carried on from there as usual.
We just got a new associate pastor, this was his second week here. The October 4th mass was done by the head Pastor and it was missing these parts as well.
Is this normal or am I missing something?
