The amendment, as part of the fiscal year 2021 budget bill, is now on the desk of Gov. Charlie Baker (R) who, as Masslive.com reported, was critical of Democrats pushing a late-term abortion proposal in a budget bill.

Governor Baker does not like the idea so whether he will sign it becomes an issue.

Also, he seems sympathetic to the principle that the Democrats shouldn’t have pushed it through as part of the budget.

Right now Massachusetts is in need of a major budget bill because workers will be required to go back to work otherwise., The state budget is already overdue.

I see him getting a great deal of pressure to sign the budget bill with this little “secret” "n it.

Because it is also the Democrats preeminent issue. The bishops warned us of this. Votes have consequences
