The masturbation itself, the act itself is a sin. You say you had no “lustful thoughts” but you were still gratifying yourself.

. If masturbation is one’s idea of fun, of course we will consider it sinful. Going out for a hike, on the other hand, is benign. I guess what I am saying is if one’s idea of fun and enjoyment is sin, of course we will say it is wrong.Yes, masterbation is a grave sin. Sperm spilling or not, it is still masterbation. Lustful thought are irrelevant. The fact that you are masterbating, is a selfish act. It is all about you, you, you. God specifically made sexual acts to be unified between a man and woman under a covenant with God.(AKA marriage). Masturbation is completely twisted. I have been caught up on this and have been progressing. I am on my longest streak of not masturbating right now for about 2 months straight. I agree with micro here. According to Catechism, masturbation is sinful. Regardless of having any “lustful thoughts” the act is a selfish form of being to wrapped up in oneself. One should be able to see out of oneself to give to others and to put others before oneself. Occupy yourself with acts of charity or good spiritual reading. Get involved in youth groups or other community service projects. In this way, you’ll be more open and available to give and put others first before yourself. Serving others less fortunate than yourself is serving Christ. Another reason is that we’re taught that our bodies is the Temple of the Holy Spirit and masturbation violates this Temple. We are supposed to treat our bodies with dignity and respect.
Notice that masturbation is held as “intrinsically and gravely disordered action” regardless of the presence/absence of ejaculation. Also, I can’t imagine who could masturbate without lust. The mere fact that one is using the sexual faculty for selfish enjoyment (which is contrary to its purpose) is already lust by definition:

Well..... maybe when boys get Circumcised the should cut the whole thing off because thats the only solution.....What do you mean “natural body function?” Ask yourself in all honesty what is the purpose of the REPRODUCTIVE organs - what God designed and intended them for - and the answer is that they are for intercourse between married couples. It is not natural to use it outside of this intended purpose. Bestiality is unnatural. Homosexuality is unnatural. Masturbation is unnatural.

That’s not true. A lot of Catholics are able to live chaste lives. Yes, a chaste life demands struggle, but hey, all sins and temptations require us to struggle, not just those involving lust. It may be hard at first, especially if this has become a habit. But the grace of God is always there to accompany us. I suggest that the first step to conversion is a good Confession. Once in the state of grace, it’ll be easier t understand the teachings of the Church. It’ll also give you the grace you need for the struggle.
