God’ll get you for that, Walter
I think he was the 70s version of Chuck Lorre. I’ve also noticed that a lot of sitcoms from the 70s and the 80s haven’t aged that well. The 90s seem to be doing a bit better I think but it’s still obvious that some of the technology used is “primitive”…lolNorman Lear was a liberal propagandist who crafted some better-than-average situation comedies with strong main characters and decent scripts. The shows have not aged particularly well, in that they dealt with 1970s social issues that are mostly lost on the present generation.
I totally agree! I think that the theme songs for shows in the 70s and 80s were so effective. Do shows even have theme songs now? Now I’m going to be on a trip down memory lane watching theme songs from old shows. Three’s Company ( which I was not allowed to watch), Greatest American Hero, The Jeffersons… this will be so much fun.Theme songs/ opening credit sequences are almost always my favorite parts of all TV shows.
Especially vintage shows, the theme songs were better then.
