Good question, Christ Himself says so in Mark 13:32 "But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father”. Emphasis mine.

Also as a side note Catholic is Christian. 🙂
My guess is that Jesus in his fully human manifestation may not know; but as G-d, does know. I’m sure someone with much more theological knowledge than I will be able to resolve this. Thanks for your response. Oh yes, I am totally aware Catholic is Christian: I was just asking about Catholic teaching.

what are the chances we’ll hear this in 7 weeks:

“Welcome to open forum…I was wrong, I admit it, I was just plain wrong. Next caller please…”

🤷
No chances, I guess he will say that he has a mistake and that everything will start on October 21.

In October 22, he will probably send the date to Christmas.

On December 26, he will send us till Good Friday of 2012.

And people will still follow him.

Of course they will. Are you familiar with the social psychologist Leon Festinger and his study regarding “When Prophecy Fails”? People who have invested a great deal of time and effort in a cause do not abandon it so easily. If they did, that would produce too much cognitive dissonance, so instead they try to rationalize why the event did not take place when it was supposed to and why it will take place the next time.

I agree, but you must add the naive followers.

In this case we are talking about people who have invested large sums of money, I read about a man who sold his company and left his family with his parents, he even said he was going to spend the money of his house in this days…

There’s people who is paying billboards with their own money.

They will be left almost in the misery, so they will need some hope, and after a short period of disappointment, they will become more fanatic because nothing more is left for them.

The Gospel of Matthew says: “And the Gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Doesn’t that contradict what Christ said in Mark 13:32?

No, because I believe that Christ was noting that no one will know the specific time when he shall return. And we’ve seen the Gospel being preached throughout the entire world, yet the end has not come. In Mark, it’s a general statement, because we know that the end will come. However, Christ himself does not even know exactly when he will return. Only that he will.

Well considering its been going on over 100-years already, I’d say the chances are excellent its will continue to be pushed out and onward.

God Bless, Gary

I don’t know if this is a new topic or not, or even in the right part of the forum. But today I saw RV’s full of protestant fundamentalist at the local wal-mart with banners on their RV’s that stated as such that. " World wide earth quake May 21, 2011 and rapture". After an intense hour of Google, I found out that the world is ending in just 4 months. But at least I’ll have time to finish my school semester. Has anyone seen heard or know anything about this statement that is made. The RV’s had banners that said family radio, and ebible somthing.com anyway just thought i 'd through this out here.

Yes Someone trying to say they are God again:rolleyes: But we as Christians just let it roll off of our back. Because we read the bible and the bible said Only God knows and he ain’t telling!😃

Very informative indeed and I thank you. Do I dare ask what the Holy Spirit knows about the Second Coming?
Sure the Holy Spirit knows everything about the Second Coming! The Holy Spirit knows the time and the Place whos getting in, and who’s not!!

According to the Gospel, shouldn’t the end have come by now?

Father Corapi explained this quite well. Since Christ and the Father are one, Christ did know the time of judgement. What He meant was that when He was on earth, it was His mission to spread the word of redemption and salvation, not to disclose the time of the end.
