TriuneUnity and blazerdave’s gently brilliant treatment of (what was once) a serious subject put me in mind of the time Tom Jones appeared on the Morecambe and Wise Show.

Nostalgically,

The beards I see these Orthodox priests wearing remind me of ZZ Top; I expect to see a hot rod peel around the corner as the band hands a young kid a couple of keys with ZZ on them with three blondes sitting in the back seat…vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvrrrrrrr LOL

She’s got legs!

Then the three guys spin their fuzzy guitars and point to the west at the same time lol

As a woman, I have to admit, I think that bearded men come across as more. . .manly. More powerful. More kingly. Stronger, more protective, wiser. . .

I would have loved living in the late 19th century when beards were de rigeur among men!

I wish more of our priests would go the ‘bearded’ route like our Orthodox brethren.

Are we saying that if a male can’t grow a beard (not everyone has the genetics) they can’t be Priests, or learned? Hmmm.

Haha…we’re just saying that all the great theologians of history (like the guys mentioned above and St. William Riker and guys like that) have the same exact beard, just like Orthodox clergy do today. It puts a lot of pressure on some of us to live up to their ultraglorious standards 😃

Then you’re an extraordinary woman because my wife, my mom, my wife’s family, and every woman I work with hates 'em and they all say they hate to kiss a man with a beard. Thinking about it, it would be kind of rough!

And the spice, too, baby! I just got off the phone with the guild and the Bene Gesserit, they approved this thread…the Harkonnens aren’t so crazy about it though
The Herbert literature must flow.

Study up on Christian history brother, I am not a Protestant. Independent Baptists were there before the reformation and were NEVER part of the Catholic Church. The blood of the saints is on the Catholic Church and Protestant Church…those saints are the ones that truly believed in the Word of God and preached. Baptists were KILLED by Catholics and Protestants but we were there before you. Search on it, look it up…I tell you the truth.
What are theTenents of your Faith? Also, what year did Independant Baptist come to be and what is the history? I truly am interested?

And also with you!
Peace,
T

Frank Herbert, my favorite author. Ann Coulter went on that Somali diet and is now officially invisible. The only way we can see her is from the pies thrown at her on college campuses by rowdy, drunken kids.
Is it Ann Coulter?

Tentatively,
Mick

“This is the Catholic Faith, which except a man believe faithfully he cannot be saved.”

Hahahaha!

I remember growing up as a kid seeing the Russian Orthodox priests down the street… their beards had halos! (If you want to know the originality of Yonkers NY, there were three churches downtown…Holy Trinity Lutheran - where I was baptized, catechized, and raised), Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox, and Most Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church)

This thread makes me so very sad :crying:

All this talk of beards reminds me of the great beard that I am able to grow (and wore for many years) but now, because my department does not allow beards, can no longer wear 😊

Thanks for the pain fellas.

God bless you all anyways.
