And also with you. The days I remember being an acolyte and believing that one day I could be a Priest. Iāve come very far from those days where now I just want to live for God and worship and serve Him the right way.
Iām saved, born again by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. I realized I donāt need to be celibate or dress in fancy robes to really serve God. I could serve just as well if not better by just believing in Him and putting all my trust on His Son.
Though I served in a different Church, I too was an acolyte and nearly a priest. And I agree that living for God, worship, and service are blessings that all Christians can enjoy!
You donāt have to believe me or charismatic Baptist preachers or Priests or Bishops or Deacons or your Popeā¦believe his Word and the words he preserved in Scripture. Not the words that all of sudden showed up when God said His word was foreverā¦it didnāt just magically appear new scripture in the 20th century. How do you explain the King James Bible was the only English Bible used for almost 400 years? Did God not give His preserved word to those generations? Of course he did! And he did it with the King James Bibleā¦the ones nowadays have perverted His word and destroyed it and they will find themselves judged one dayā¦did you ever wonder why the King James Version is always being attacked? Itās Satanās work because he knows itās the true word of God.
Friend, I know that the KJV issue is a tricky one. I hope youāll believe me when I say that I know two men who were involved in the ESV project, and they were by no means New Age or satanic! They took that project more seriously than anything else they have ever done. Godās Word is of the highest value to them - and they loved the KJV too! Now the KJV is a great gift to the Church. I still read from it on special occasions. Its beauty and formality have never been duplicated. Some of todayās Bibles are also great, while others are less good - as translations. I do not agree with the assessment that the KJV is Godās uniquely preserved Word, as I believe that God preserved his Word among many nations and languages. Though miscopying and mistranslation might affect the quality of a particular Bible version, there is no doubt that the Holy Spirit can illumine the reader of a Septuagint Bible, a Vulgate Bible, or even the lowly NIV.
God is not kicked out of his Word by modern translations. They donāt have that kind of power over him!

Study up on Christian history brother, I am not a Protestant. Independent Baptists were there before the reformation and were NEVER part of the Catholic Church. The blood of the saints is on the Catholic Church and Protestant Churchā¦those saints are the ones that truly believed in the Word of God and preached. Baptists were KILLED by Catholics and Protestants but we were there before you. Search on it, look it upā¦I tell you the truth.
Too many were killed during the Reformation period by all sides. No oneās hands are clean, unless perhaps the Anabaptistsā are? I have not heard that they killed anyone, though Iām a little rusty on my Anabaptist history. Do you claim their heritage? Iāve never been clear on the IFB lineage. Granted, I donāt accept the Landmarkian/Trail of Blood history, because certain groups are claimed in the Baptist line that perhaps ought not to be considered Baptist (such as the Donatist Church).
But here in the South, about half the Baptists with whom I am aquainted abhor the name āProtestant.ā They always say that they are either independent of the Reformation or predate it. Is that your belief as well? Iām open to discussion on any of these points.
