In another thread, many posters contend that after rape a woman is justified and has the right to abort the child conceived by the rape.

Men get raped.

When a man is raped, should that act impregnate his rapist, would it be permissible for him to force that child to be aborted?

Should a man be forced to be come a father against his will?

This scenario seems a bit far fetched, but your argument misses the point; killing a child solves this problem how? Surely it can only cause more pain and suffering?

The issues aren’t the same, at all.
True they aren’t the same, because the child will be dependent on the mother for a while… The one who committed the crime.
The father however will not be affected as much as a raped woman who carries the child in her womb.
It is still wrong to kill the child for his or her parents crime.

To take this a step further, the woman was caught immediately.

Should EC be forced down her throat?

She will be in prison for years and the father will be the child’s sole relative. The court will require him to pay child support for the next 18 years.

A mother would have to take care of her child as well in case she was the victim. What would be just would be to take the custody away from the rapist mother once the child is born.

The rape of men is almost always done by other men. A situation where a man was sexually aroused against his will by a woman and then forced to have sex would be extremely rare. It’s an off the charts hypothetical situation.

Rare happens.

To not give men the same choice as women would be anti-man.

I’m not sure what your point is, actually. I think women are the only ones granted the ‘right’ to abort the child growing in their own bodies. Your thread is really nonsensical. I’m sure the raped man wouldn’t be forced to pay child support.

Exactly.

Many men are forced to pay child support against their wishes, for children they have never met.

Find us a single example of a man who has been raped and forced to pay child support for a child conceived from that rape.

I’m pretty sure the OP is trying to make the point that saying abortion is ok in case of the woman being raped doesn’t make sense. Just as this reverse scenario doesn’t make sense. I think she is trying to say that abortion is murder regardless of circumstance.

It seems like a weird way to make a point to me. 🤷

What you propose is impossible. A man cannot impregnate another man. A raped man therefore cannot become pregnant. If you don’t realize that men are unable to become pregnant, someone needs to fill you in on the birds and the bees.

Men ARE raped by women. According to stats in the UK, 2 to 3 % of men who are raped are raped by women.

Don’t know what stats you are looking at because in England & Wales a woman CANNOT commit rape. It’s a definitional thing.

I have doubts about the physical possibility of that occurring. I’m sure men are seduced by women, but raped? I don’t want to be graphic here, but I don’t see intercourse occurring with an unaroused man. But even if it could, the man still could not get pregnant, thus he could not have an abortion.

What about older women who are sexual predators praying on young boys…such as with female teachers 25-35 years old statutory raping a 14 year old??? Rape is rape regardless if it is down with physical force against ones will or if that person is not mature enough to give consent, regardless if their body responds to the physical stimuli the rapist is subjecting them too…and as the past few years have shown us, this is not that rare of an occurence.

A man can be aroused, but not want sex with the person.
