**CENTERTON, Ark. – **The mayor of an Arkansas town resigned on Wednesday, claiming he was abducted and brainwashed by Satan worshippers nearly three decades ago.Centerton Mayor Ken Williams said he has been living under an assumed name for nearly 30 years. He had been mayor since 2001.Williams told authorities he was born Don LaRose and that in the mid-1970s, he was a preacher in Indiana. He said he was abducted and brainwashed into forgetting all about his life as Don LaRose. It was a double-life he had never acknowledged, Williams said, because he didn’t even realize it existed until he had recently taken a truth-serum injection.

This is why I always say no to truth serum when it is offered at cocktail parties.

If this is what he believes about himself, it’s a good thing he resigned!

Oh for the love of God Almighty, why cant my state be known for something good?

Hey, Arkansas is a great State. If people from California and Illinois don’t stop moving here, it will get too crowded and polluted. But right now it is terrific.

I say, **close the boarders **, especially since I have moved here from California and want things to stay the way they are.

😃

It could use a few more Buddhists, though. 😉

Move on down to North Alabama…we have a few Buddhists here.

That is, if you aren’t afraid of getting a little Southern Drawl in your accent…
I lived in Georgia for three years and picked up a wonderful soft accent. I lost it when I moved to California.

There are so many Yankees in the Ozark town where I live, that the Arkansas accent has been almost wiped out. What a shame. We are all soon going to sound the same and that will be a great loss. 🤷

Oh, for heaven’s sake, the stuff people will say to get attention.

Hey you never know could be some truth to this.

For now I’m taking a cautious skeptical attitude to this.

Dont get me wrong, I love Arkansas and the South more than people will ever know…I just wish the weird among us would keep it to themselves.
The weird are what makes us interesting. Would you rather live with materialistic, fashion conscious, Orange County wannabees.

Give me the southern accentric over the coastal narcissist any day. Of course one of my favorite movies is “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”. Gosh I love the South. 😃

Who doesnt love the South? Northerners…it always just makes me stop and scratch my head at why it was legitimate and comendable for 13 colonies to rebel from their king while it was illegal and evil for 11 sovereign states to leave a union they voluntarily joined…go figure

When I see stories like this, I wonder why we didn’t just let you all secede! (I kid, I kid… born in Florida myself)

You could say the same thing about our Revolutionary War. Our Green Mountain Boys were considered terrorists by the British.

One man’s terrorist is another’s freedom fighter.

It all depends on what side of the river you are on. 🤷
