McGuinty supports Morgentaler's appointment

For those who aren’t following the story, let me condense it as best I can:

1. The Order of Canada, which is the highest award that a Canadian Citizen can receive, was awarded to Henry Morgentaler, a man who has been committing abortions in Canada for over 40 years and was instrumental in having the law struck down to where we have NO law regarding abortion.
2. A huge outcry of condemnation of Catholic, Pro-Life and even some media at this award given to Morgentaler. Also a big cry of support from feminists and rabid pro-choice people.
3. A number of (3) previous Order of Canada winners returning theirs to protest this award.
4. Dalton McGuinty, the “Catholic” Premier of Ontario now supporting this.

Why does this not surprise me? Not much more to add really.

If Dalton McGuinty goes to Mass on Sundays, which I doubt, but if he does, then he should be denied communion until he publicly says he is wrong about abortion. This would follow Confession by him of course.

I am surprised the Archbishop of Toronto doesn’t publicly issue a statement about our Premier to deny him Communion. But, you never know, perhaps the Archbishop has written to him privately and asked him to re-consider his religious beliefs. If so, then a definite time limit would have, I think, been set for a response from the Premier. And after that a decision about what to do about Dalton McGuinty by the Catholic Church would be quickly made and publicised.

Meanwhile,we should pray for Dalton McGuinty’s conversion.
